Do not upgrade to this release from a previous version without carefully reading the relevant sections on upgrading and bug fixes, since bug fixes may change the behavior of existing sessions. For more information about the product, consult the manual and online help. You can get updated release notes at http://my.informatica.com/. Fixed Limitations This section describes fixed limitations for PowerCenter Connect for Web Services. 8.1.1 SP5 Fixed Limitations SP5. 179654 Error occurs when you drag a Web Service Consumer source definition to the Source Analyzer. 176100 See 179654. 175507 Session with a Web Services Consumer transformation fails with the following error: XMLW_31203: Error: Cache manager was unable to lock specified buffer block. 1

8.1.1 SP3 Fixed Limitations SP3. 132749 A session shuts down unexpectedly when running a mapping that contains a Web Services Consumer transformation with a pass-through port of datatype Date/Time. 105604 The Designer shuts down unexpectedly when you use the WSDL workspace to modify a Web Services Consumer transformation. 8.1.1 SP2 Fixed Limitations SP2. 127746 Extraneous initializations steps delay Web Services sessions when connecting to Salesforce.com. 8.1.1 Fixed Limitations. 106603 A session crashes when generating the SOAP request for a web service if the Cookie port in the Web Services Consumer transformation is connected to a downstream transformation. 106246 A session fails with the message "Column (column name) was not found and cannot be NULL", even if the column is present in the SOAP request. 104395 A session with Web Services Consumer transformation succeeds when the web service is down. 104091 Incorrect syntax for Openssl command documented in the PowerCenter Connect for Web Services User Guide. 8.1 Fixed Limitations This section describes PowerCenter Connect for Web Services limitations that were fixed in version 8.1. 92302 Designer does not use proxy internet settings to import WSDL files. 2

8.0 Fixed Limitations This section describes PowerCenter Connect for Web Services limitations that were fixed in version 8.0. 72722 Session generates an incorrect SOAP request for a web service target that contains an array. 72721 Session fails for a mapping with two source definitions and a Web Service transformation with multiple input groups. Known Limitations You may encounter the following limitations when using PowerCenter Connect for Web Services 8.1.1 SP5. If you encounter difficulties or have further questions regarding these limitations, contact Informatica Global Customer Support. 135075: Integration Service cannot find schema node for SOAP operation The Integration Service returns the following error while parsing a SOAP response: [ERROR] Encountered a problem during SOAP response conversion (RPC to DOC): [Cannot find schema node for SOAP operation []]. This error occurs for a Web Services Consumer transformation imported with an entity relationship and an rpc/encoded SOAP response type. Workaround: Import RPC-encoded WSDLs in hierarchy mode. 106990: Error occurs when you run a session with a Web Services Consumer transformation stored in a PowerCenter 8.1 repository When you run a session with a Web Services Consumer transformation from a PowerCenter 8.1 repository, the error log lists the following error: Message Code: REP_12400 Message: Repository Error (Can't find attribute with id: 25.) Workaround: You can ignore this error message. It does not affect the session run. 106711: Session fails to initialize when the web service is down or URL is incorrect When the Integration Service tries to connect to a web service that is down, or when it uses an incorrect URL, the session fails to initialize. 106271: Session with a Web Service Consumer transformation does not fail even when the web service URL is incorrect When you run a web service workflow that contains a Web Service Consumer transformation and you use an invalid web service consumer URL, the Integration Service does not display a warning that the URL is not available. The Integration Service attempts to run the web service workflow and then displays the following error message: Web Service invoker encountered an error while invoking the Web Service. Reason: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found 3

Workaround: Verify that the web service URL is correct before you start the web service workflow. 104120, 99546, 98291: The Designer cannot import RPC/encoded WSDL in entity relationship format When you import a web service source definition, target definition, or Web Services Consumer transformation from an RPC/encoded WSDL in entity relationship format, the Designer generates extra ports. Workaround: Import the web service source definition, target definition, or Web Services Consumer transformation from an RPC/encoded WSDL in hierarchical format. 90584: The Designer creates an invalid mapping for a Web Services Consumer transformation imported from an RPC/encoded WSDL using the entity relationships XML view When you create a mapping for a Web Services Consumer transformation imported from an RPC/encoded WSDL using the entity relationships XML view, the mapping is invalid. Workaround: Revalidate the generated mapping. 75295: Session fails if you import a web service source definition, web service target definition, or Web Services Consumer transformation from a WSDL file with multiple namespaces When you run a session with a web service source definition, web service target definition, or Web Services Consumer transformation imported from a WSDL file with multiple namespaces, the session fails. 71436: Importing a web service source definition, web service target definition, or Web Services Consumer transformation fails when the WSDL file contains an invalid operation When you import a web service source definition, web service target definition, or Web Services Consumer transformation, the import fails if the WSDL file contains an invalid operation. Installation Before you install PowerCenter Connect for Web Services 8.1.1 SP5, install and configure PowerCenter 8.1.1 SP5. Install PowerCenter Connect for Web Services 8.1.1 SP5 on the PowerCenter machines that you want to access Web Services.
