FEES The fees listed throughout the individual course booklets indicate the amount you have to pay for the course. Course costs may include registration fees, exam fees, material and uniform costs and visits. Where this is the case, it is usually highlighted in the course description. It is also important to note that eligibility criteria may be subject to change based on government changes. There are three fee bands you will fit into: A, B or C. Business, professional & computing 2 Introduction to AAT Code: 13020 Start date: 28/07/2014 Time: 9am - 2pm, Mon and Weds Duration: 5 weeks Fee: A: 20 B: 345 This short, introductory course teaches beginners the essential skills required in accounting. The modules within the AAT Access qualification focus on the basic skills needed by a trainee or junior-level accountant, and as preparation for AAT Level 2. Entry requirements are evidence of numeracy and literacy at Level 1. An interview is required. C&G Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping Skills Code: 9295 Start date: 25/09/2014 Time: 6-9pm Duration: 10 weeks Fee: A: Free * B: 140 This course is a basic introduction to bookkeeping, covering financial documents, day books, cash book, petty cash book, bank reconciliation, double-entry and the initial trial balance. There is one examination. Entry requirements are numeracy and literacy at level 1. Successful students may also like to consider joining the AAT Computerised Accounting course. An interview is required. This course also runs in: Start date: 25/04/2015 Course code: 17241 C&G Level 2 Award in Bookkeeping Skills Code: 9839 Start date: 06/01/2015 Time: 6-9pm Duration: 10 weeks Fee: A: 20 B: 160 This course can be taken after successful completion of City & Guilds Level 1. The course covers control accounts, adjusting for errors, depreciation and other year-end adjustments and completing an extended trial balance. Successful students may also like to consider joining the AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting course. An interview is required. AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping Code: 9838 Start date: 13/09/2014 Time: 9am - 1pm Duration: 24 weeks Fee: A: 120 B: 685 The AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping is a short qualification that provides a thorough foundation in bookkeeping and basic accounting practices, including double-entry bookkeeping. Entry requirements are evidence of numeracy and literacy at Level 1. Successful completion of AAT Access or other Level 1 accounting qualification or relevant business experience. An interview is required. AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting Code: 9840 Start date: 08/09/2014 Time: 6-9pm Duration: 10 weeks Fee: A: 15 B: 175 The accounting software for this qualification is Sage software and this covers selecting and using computerised accounting or bookkeeping software to input and process data for orders, invoices, receipts and payments. As well as preparing management and period-end reports. Entry requirements are successful completion of AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping or other qualification or relevant industry experience. It supports employment to management level and opportunities for self-employment. On completion, graduates are employed locally and in the City of London. The course also has international links. In partnership with the University of Brighton. The Higher National Certificate is a specialist vocational programme with a strong work-related emphasis. You will study key areas of business including finance, operations and IT, real business problems, legal issues, marketing, organisation, planning and human resources. A minimum of four hours additional self-directed learning, a compulsory proof-reading exam and assignments on legal environment, legal audio and work processing will be required to complete this course.
