User Documentation Associate Teacher Edition, pg. 3 Getting Started What you will need In order for you to log into the Online Teacher Evaluation System you must first obtain your username and password. You can find these credentials in the letter you received from the pre-service department. If you do not have your username and password please contact Michelle Smythe at (905)688-5550 ext. 4967. It is also recommended that you have a valid email address to ensure you can recover any lost or forgotten passwords. Logging In Once you have your account credentials ready, please open an internet browser and navigate to http://www.brocku.ca/preservice. You will be presented with the following page: From here you may enter your login information and press Login. If you are unable to login at this point, please see double check your user information carefully. For further assistance please see Further Assistance. After you successfully login for first time, you will be presented with the following page:
User Documentation Associate Teacher Edition, pg. 4 At this stage it is recommended, but not required, that you enter a valid email address so that you can reset your password. Once you have entered your email address please press Submit. You will then be presented with the Listing of all Students. NOTE: Simply leave the e-mail field blank if you do not wish to provide one. Updating Your User Information In order to update your email and/or password you can press Edit Login Information from the top-right of the main page after you login. After pressing Edit your information you will be presented with the following:
User Documentation Associate Teacher Edition, pg. 5 To update your email address, enter the new address in the E-mail field. To update your password, enter it into the password field, and then again in the re-type password field. You do not have to enter a new password to update your email address. Press Update when you are finished entering your information, and press << Listing of all Students to return to the main page.
User Documentation Associate Teacher Edition, pg. 6 Evaluations Creating a New Evaluation In order to create a new evaluation for a student, you must successfully log in. After you have logged in you will be presented with the follow page: Click on Enter the evaluation. You will be presented with the following page: Please read the provided instructions carefully. Once you have read the instructions you then may complete the provided form. After fully completing the evaluation form press Save Evaluation Form. Upon completing the form and pressing Save Evaluation Form, you will be returned to the main menu.
User Documentation Associate Teacher Edition, pg. 7 Printing a Blank Evaluation To Print a Blank Evaluation, login and press Print a blank evaluation form. Upon reading the on-screen instructions carefully, select Generate blank PDF form. Printing/Saving a Student Evaluation To print a Student Evaluation, login and navigate to the main page. You will be presented with a page similar to this: You can Generate Draft Report or Generate Final Report. Both links will open a report in a new window. From there you can press File > Print, or CTRL+P, or press the print button. To save the report to your computer, right click on Generate Final Report and press Save Target As.
User Documentation Associate Teacher Edition, pg. 8 Editing an Evaluation To edit an existing evaluation, login and locate the evaluation you want to edit from the main page. Press Edit, and make any necessary changes to the evaluation. Once finished, press Save Evaluation Form. Deleting an Evaluation To delete an existing evaluation, login and locate the evaluation from the main page. Click the large X, and follow the on-screen instructions.
User Documentation Associate Teacher Edition, pg. 9 Further Assistance Forgotten Passwords If you have forgotten your password, please go to the login screen (http://www.brocku.ca/preservice). You will be presented with the login page. Select Forgot your password?. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password. Once you complete the \Forgot your password process, a message will be sent to the provided email address outlining the details of your new password.
