3.2 Functionality General The equipment module Converting was created to generate a machine specific project with the concept of the Converting standard applications. With the equipment module it is possible to implement all necessary technological objects as well as the parameterization of the configuration parameter. The parameters are pre-defined with meaningful values. All necessary libraries will be added to the project. In the program part of the project a unit pmainsequence will be created which contains an example control sequence to control different Converting modules (standard applications e.g. SIMOTION Winder, SIMOTION LTC, ). For every module type a separate program unit will be created which contains module specific programs (e.g. StartUp, Background, IPO). Create a new project In case the equipment module Converting is used to create a new project the project will be generated like described above. Open and extend an existing project In case the equipment module Converting is used to open an already existing project these project will be extended by the program structure described above. If those programs already exist in the project it can be used to extend it by further technology objects or to update the containing libraries. Dissociation The configuration of SINAMICS is not part of the module. Entry-ID: 109485620, V1.0.3, 07/2017 9

3.3 Operation 3.3.1 Language The module configuration language depends on the selected SIMATIC Manager language. Available languages are German and English. If another SIMAITC Manager language is selected, the module configuration language will be English. 3.3.2 General The masks of the module Converting are separated in a working and a help area. Figure 3-4 work area help area navigation area In the working area the settings for the actual step can be done. In the help area information to the possibilities of the actual steps are shown. With the button documentation on the bottom right, the manual to the current configuration step can be opened. Example: On the first winder configuration page the manual of the SIMOTION Winder application will be opened whereas the manual of the Converting library LConLib will be opened by clicking the documentation Button on the page where the diameter calculation parts are configured. Additionally a separate Converting equipment module documentation (this manual) is available by clicking on the <?> Button on the top ride corner of every page.
