ow, what about that dumb pipe thing? I assume everyone here has read these two fine papers: The Dumb Pipe Approach for LBS, Jonathan Spinney, 2003 and It s the (LBS) applications Stupid!, David H. Williams, 2003 As you can tell from our implementation of the Sprint Business Mobility Framework SM, we essentially agree with them. However, a few minor points: Two years ago Sprint sent our pipe to college. It has now graduated and has a PhD! We believe customers and developers greatly benefit from this new carrier network intelligence and integration. Furthermore we believe the customer is interested in the total solution. This requires partnerships between Sprint, application providers, horizontal services providers and systems integrators. Together we will provide total solutions to our customers problems!
