Well-written and mercifully short introduction to Bootstrap By Mike I can code quite decently, but graphic design is not my forte. To be completely honest, I cannot draw a straight line with a ruler. I've done some occasional back-end, but I haven't designed a site in over a decade aside from a blog I did for one of my personal domains using Wordpress and an off-the shelf theme (which I'd recommend if it's satisfactory for your purposes, by the way, Wordpress is a great CMS). I was going to outsource my business website design since I had already outsourced the logo design with terrific results on fiverr, but honestly I couldn't find a designer that 1) understood what I wanted 2) could understand code sufficiently to realize how the UI/UX and front-end needed to interact with my back-end code, tables, and JSON feeds. 3) could design responsive, scalable and didn't depend on Wordpress/Drupal 4) was within a price range that wasn't borderline insane.
And then I hear about CSS frameworks. I tried it a bit myself, but honestly I was lost. Last I used CSS it was a lot less complicated. So I downloaded a number of books. All the prime free ones are worth about what you pay for them and usually either taken from tutorial sites or riddled with spelling and grammar errors.
