14 Vertex Defining and Naming Angles ANGLE: An ANGLE consists of two different rays with the same endpoint. The rays are the SIDES of the angle. The endpoint is the VERTEX of the angle. B Sides A BAC AB & AC are Sides. A C CAB A is Vertex. Single letter ONLY if angle is UNAMBIGUOUS! 14

15 Measuring Angles Use a Protractor Angles measure in units called Degrees ( o ) If an angle ABC has a measure of 32 o you can write: WORDS: The measure of ABC is 32 SYMBOLS: m ABC = 32 15
