Credits include Nic Roeg s Performance, Michael Mann s The Keep, Andrew Piddington s Tribeca and award winning, The Killing of John Lennon. He also worked on factual series for television for over 30 years including groundbreaking programming, Equinox and Cutting Edge. He has established great partnerships with his directors that have lasted for years. In the past two years Tony Palmer have worked on two feature films, Warehouse and Scar Tissue. He has collaborated with Film 4 on various short films, including Broken Eternity, as well as working on several commercials, one of which was for the IDJ online magazine re-launch. 3 From Andrew Piddington I have known Tony Palmer for 7 years and have cut 8 films with him among them, Murder Trail x 2, Dinosaur Hunters x 2, and the feature film The Killing of John Lennon. On each film Tony has contributed greatly to the dynamic range of the film. Tony is a brilliant first pass editor, instinctive, true to the material. Many times he has cut a scene on his own and the cuts and rhythms have remained unchanged. He is at his best when you challenge him creatively, and particularly responsive to fragmented scenes rooted in drama and meaning. I have no hesitation in recommending him as an editor and as a finely tuned emotional barometer to what is true and resonant in a scene. I look forward to working with him again. He was efficient, creative, and fast. He demonstrated an extensive technical knowledge of the edit suite and used his knowledge creatively.
