This document contains important information about this release. We recommend that you read the entire document. Release date: 20, August 2015 This release was developed for use with: McAfee(R) VirusScan(R) Enterprise for Linux with Hotfix HF installed. NOTE: This hotfix is a superset of hotfix HF which is no longer available. Resolved issues: The following issue is resolved in this hotfix release of the product: Kernel panic is experienced when writing files on the NFSv4 network-mounted volumes. After applying this hotfix, kernel panic does not occur when writing files on the NFSv4 network-mounted volumes. Note: The fix provided for the following issues through the Hotfix HF is merged with this Hotfix (HF ). NFS server crash is experienced after upgrading VirusScan Enterprise for Linux to version. (ID ) After applying this hotfix, the NFS server works properly with the upgrade.

2 After installing VirusScan Enterprise for Linux on the RHEL 6.4 server, the shutdown -h (same as halt) command does not work and the system is rebooted unexpectedly. (ID ) After applying the hotfix, the shutdown -h command works properly without rebooting the system. Mounting NFS volume using the NFS client v3 causes system hang. ( ) After applying this hotfix, the system doesn't hang when you mount NFS volume through the NFS client v3. OpenSSL vulnerability issues in the OpenSSL software library version 1.0.1m. (ID ) After applying this hotfix, the OpenSSL library version is upgraded to 1.0.1o version that contains a fix for the latest vulnerabilities. Files included with this release: This hotfix comprises a single compressed archive file McAfeeVSEForLinux HF release.tar.gz which contains the following files: McAfeeVSEForLinux HF EPO.zip = Hotfix package that can be deployed from the McAfee(R) epolicy Orchestrator(R) (McAfee epo(tm)). McAfeeVSEForLinux HF tar.gz = Hotfix package that can be installed manually on standalone systems and contain the following files: setuphf = Installer script. Readme-HF txt = This text file. kernel-module-source.tar.gz = Source file

3 McAfeeVSEForLinux noarch-payload.tar = Binaries built for 32-bit and 64-bit computers. Installation instructions: Requirements: To use this hotfix, you must have McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for Linux software version with hotfix HF installed on the computer you intend to update. This hotfix will not work with any other versions of the software. Install the software on standalone systems: 1. Download "McAfeeVSEForLinux HF zip" to a temporary directory, then execute the following commands in this sequence: # unzip McAfeeVSEForLinux HF zip # cd McAfeeVSEForLinux HF # tar -zxvf McAfeeVSEForLinux HF release.tar.gz # tar -zxvf McAfeeVSEForLinux HF tar.gz For SuSE platforms: # bash setuphf For Ubuntu platforms: # sudo bash setuphf 2. After successful installation, restart the computer using the reboot command. Install the software through McAfee epo: 1. Download and unzip "McAfeeVSEForLinux HF zip" to a temporary directory. 2. From the extracted folder "McAfeeVSEForLinux HF ", untar the file "McAfeeVSEForLinux HF release.tar.gz". 3. Log on to the McAfee epo server, then click Menu Software Master Repository. 4. Click Actions Check In Package. The Package page appears. 5. From Package type, select "Product or Update (.ZIP). 6. From File path, click Browse and select the file "McAfeeVSEForLinux HF EPO.zip". 7. Click Open, then click Next. The Package Options page appears.

4 8. Select the appropriate branch, then click Save. 9. Create an Update task and deploy this hotfix package. 10. After successful installation, restart the client computer (Linux system) using the reboot command. Removing this Hotfix: To remove this hotfix and revert to the original setup, you must reinstall the McAfee(R) VirusScan Enterprise for Linux version software.
