Background Round Rock ISD will migrate away from its existing Symantec Altiris and Endpoint Protection solution in order to fully deploy a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Endpoint Protection (SCEP) solution. Given that Round Rock ISD s existing maintenance agreement with Symantec expires at the end of March 2015, RRISD is requesting assistance from an outside contracted resource to help make the transition. The purpose of this engagement is to install and configure System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for Altiris replacement, configure operating system deployment, import prepackaged applications, and deploy them to a pilot group of workstations, and configure and deploy System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) for Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) replacement. II. Client Considerations In order for Round Rock ISD to get a better gauge of the level of effort required to perform a migration from Altiris/SEP to Microsoft SCCM/SCEP, RRISD has provided the following requirements that the vendor should use to develop its response to this RFQ: 1. Current SCCM/SCEP implementation a. A SCCM 2012 environment was built and installed at the RRISD Technology Center as part of a jumpstart project led by an external resource b. The current environment consists of two virtual servers running Windows Server 2012 Datacenter on a VMware virtual platform c. The SCCM 2012 Primary Site was installed as a Stand-alone d. Both servers are configured as distribution points and have been integrated with Active Directory e. No other distribution points have been configured at this time f. Configuration of boundaries, discovery, and device collections has been attempted g. Deployment of the SCCM client has been initiated h. SCEP installation, configuration, and deployment has not been started 2. The Awarded Vendor will be responsible for the migration from Altiris to SCCM. 3. PC make/models currently in use by the district (see Attachment A) 4. Number of roles a. RRISD will need assistance with implementing 4 roles with different levels of access to SCCM 5. Total number of PC s a. At last count, RRISD has about 35,500 desktops, laptops, notebooks, and tablets running Windows 7/8 6. Types of reports a. Number of devices by location

Scope of Work The purpose of this project is to install and configure Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for Altiris replacement, configure operating system deployment, import prepackaged applications, and deploy them to a pilot group of workstations, and implement and configure Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) for Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) replacement. This engagement will be successful when: System Center Configuration Manager 2012 is installed and configured System Center Endpoint Protection 2012 has been deployed and validated Base OS images have been imported, tested, and approved against a pilot group of workstations Software distribution has been configured and validated A plan has been developed and approved by RRISD that will allow RRISD to be fully migrated away from Altiris and SEP and fully operational on SCCM/SCEP 2012 before March 31, This will include: o An approved plan for future deployment of remaining workstations and servers; and o An approved migration path and plan to turn down Altiris and SEP. The vendor is responsible for the following work items to be completed during this engagement: SCCM/SCEP 2012 architecture and design planning to include a review of existing single primary site server environment, as well as, evaluation of deployment of test environment Implementation of SCCM 2012 including the installation of Windows, roles, SQL, SCCM, and any prerequisite software or updates to support OS Deployment, application packaging, SCEP, and Microsoft patching. Validation of software updates base functionality Completion of the agent configuration and deployment to network-connected, production workstations and client-defined servers using a wired Ethernet connection Configuration of agents and validation of SCEP deployment and configuration on up to: o 100 workstations o 20 servers The following 10 Applications identified by the client to be imported and configured for deployment as part of Software Distribution validation: o Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection o Java Runtime 1.7.0_51 o WebCRD o istation - Install at every boot o Lego WeDo

4 o Google Chrome o Active Inspire 1.7 o Autodesk Inventor 2015 x32/x64 o App Inventor 2 o ROBOTC for VEX Cortex and PIC 4.26 Extend Operating System Deployment (OSD) functionality with the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) 2013 Dell Driver packages imported to support models identified by client Client provided OS image imported and validated into SCCM Configure Operating System Deployment: o Up to two (2) task sequences o Drivers for up to four (4) computer models o Deployment of the provided Windows image to ensure installation of Windows, the previously packaged application installs, Software Updates, and hardware drivers Configure Software Updates: o Apply approved Microsoft updates available at the time of image creation o Build up to two (2) deployment templates (i.e. test and production) Deploy OS image via PXE boot up to 10 non-production LAN connected test machines Role-based administration for up to four groups Configure the following reports o Number of devices by location o Last logged on user o Machine on/off (real time) o User logged on (real time) Client settings for management of both desktop and server systems IV. Deliverables The vendor will provide the following deliverables as part of this engagement: ID Deliverable Description 1 Project Schedule Detailed project timeline, major milestones, and dependencies; list of tasks necessary to fully migrate off of Altiris/SEP by March 31, Architecture Design Diagrams Logical and/or physical diagrams that explain the high-level architecture of the SCCM/SCEP solution that will be implemented by the vendor 3 SCCM/SCEP As-Built Document A document that provides details on the asbuilt SCCM/SCEP environment, including information on: System architecture
