1 Computer Science Practical File C++ Revision Tour 1. Write a program to perform various operations on a string without using language supported build in string functions. The operations are a) Reverse a string b) Copy the string into empty string c) Concatenate two string d) Count number of alphabets in string Create functions for each operation. 2. Write a program to implement following series a) 1+ x + x3 + +x2n 1 1! 3! +x5 5! +x7 7! n! Classes and Objects 1)Write a program to define a class RADIO_STATION with the following data members: a)entrance exam marks out of 30(float type) b)audition marks out of 70 (float type) c)result of type char Member function- Private Assign ( ) to assign the value to result depending upon the following if exam marks + audition marks > 80 and audition marks are > 60 then the candidate is selected(s), if exam marks + audition marks > 80 then wait listed (W) otherwise the candidate is rejected(r). Public - Accept ( )- to input exam, audition marks and then call assign( ) - Show ( ) to display complete data The program should declare an array of type RADIO_STATION with n number of elements & should be menu driven with separate functions for: - reading the array - display the array - sorting & displaying the array in descending order of total marks. 2)Define a class BOOK with the following specifications: Private members of the class BOOK are BOOK NO integer type BOOKTITLE 20 characters PRICE float (price per copy)

2 TOTAL_COST() A function to calculate the total cost for N number of copies where N is passed to the function as argument. Public members of the class BOOK are INPUT() function to read BOOK_NO. BOOKTITLE, PRICE PURCHASE() function to ask the user to input the number of copies to be purchased. It invokes TOTAL_COST() and prints the total cost to be paid by the user. Write the main function to call the functions input() and purchase() Constructors and Destructors 1. Define a class Mobile in C+ + with the following descriptions Private members : mcode of type string mtype of type string mosname of type string mscreensize of type integer mrpvalue of type float mdiscount of type float maxsaleprice of type float A function AdjustPrice ( ) which calculates and assigns the value of maxsaleprice as follows : Public members: mosname Android ios Others maxsaleprice mrpvalue-10% on mrpvalue mrpvalue-9 % on mrpvalue mrpvalue-15 % on mrpvalue A constructor to assign initial values of mcode with MCODE01, mtype with Tablet, mosname with Android, mscreensize, mrppvalue, mdiscount and maxsaleprice with 0. A function GetData( ) to input the values of the data all members variables. And invoke the AdjustPrice( ) function. A destructor to print object is being destroyed. A function to Display( ) which displays the content of all the data members for a Mobile. Write the main function to call the above functions d) Define a class Restra in C++ with the following descriptions: Private Members: FoodCode integer Food string

3 Ftype string Sticker string A member function Getsticker() to assisgn the following values of Sticker as per the given Ftype Ftype Vegetarian Egg Non-Vegetarian Sticker Green Yellow Red Public Members: A constructor to assign initial values Foodcode as 0,Food,Ftype and Sticker as NOT ASSIGNED. Input(), To take the input the values for foodcode, food and ftype and call getsticker() to assisgn value for sticker. Show(), To display all the values Data file handling Text File a) Write a program to create file mixed.txt. Input characters, digits, symbols from keyboard to this file. Then create three file alpha.text (alpahabets), digit.text (digits) and symbol.text (special characters) and then separate out the characters from mixed.text into respective file. Present the user with menu to view any file 1. mixed.text 2. alpha.text 3. digit.text 4. symbol.text 5. Exit b) Write a program to create a text file notes.txt. Input characters, digits, symbols in file in form of lines. Present user with menu 1. To count no. of alphabets 2. To count no. of lines 3. To count no. of words 4. To count the no. presence of any word.(word is entered from user) 5. Exit. Binary File a)declare a class product with following specification Private members 1.product number 2. product name 3.Price Public Members 1.getdata()-to get data form user 2.display()- to display data from user 3. ret_name()-to return product name

4 4. ret_prodno()-to return product number. 5. retprice()- to return price. Create a binary file product.dat to store data of products.write a menu driven program to present the user with following options 1. Add records in file 2. Searching of a product no. for given name 3. Determine name when product no. given 4. Modify the product information 5. Delete the product information. 6. Display product with maximum price 7. Exit 2.Given class MOVIE with following declarations: class MOVIE { int movieno; char moviename[25]; float price; public : int compare(char nm[ ] ) { if (strcmp ( moviename, nm) = = 0) return 1; else return 0; } void input( ); void display ( ); } ; Write a menu driven interactive program to : Create a binary file MOVIE.DAT. Append records into a binary file called MOVIE.DAT Search for a particular moviename & display its price. Increase the price of all movies in the same file whose price > 200 by 10% Delete a particular record whose name is specified by the user. Arrays a. Program in implement class twodarray with following members Data Members A 2D array with size [50][50] Member Functions Input():To input array with m rows and N columns sumrow():to Find sum of rows sumcol():to find sum of Columns transpose():transpose the array Make a menu in c++ with following options 1.Input 2.Sum of rows 3. sum of columns 4. transpose 5.
