The table does not support Foreign Keys. ii) Add a column RATING in the above containing numeric data and should accept NULL values. iii) Insert one row values in the table iv) Increase the cost of all the albums sung by RAFI by 50. v) Display cost of all those albums whose singer name ends with A. vi) Display the album details for either RAFI, KISHORE or ASHA. vii) Display the album details in the ascending order of their quantity. c What will be the output of the following SQL statements : i) SELECT RIGHT(MID( MAHARAJA MAHAYOGI,,5),4); ii) SELECT LEFT(SUBSTR( AARAHANAPAHARAN, -0,5),); 4 Q6 a How e-governance has benefitted the common man? b What benefits does e-business offer to a customer? c Enlist websites that provides e-learning platforms.
INFORMATICS PRACTICES (CLASS XI)-MARKING SCHEME TIME : 3:00 HRS MM : 70 Q A Bluetooth is telecommunications industry specification that describes how mobile phones, computers and PDAs can be easily interconnected using a short range wireless connection. b OCR is used to read character of special type font printed on a conventional paper with conventional ink. It is an input device. c In these printers there is no mechanical contact between the printer head and d e the paper.. It is a volatile memory and its contents are lost when power is switched off.. We can read as well write in this memory. Multi Programming Operating Systems It supports multiprogramming i.e. more than one user can be supported by it. Therefore more than one programs are loaded and active in main store at the same time. Multi Processing Operating Systems It is capable of handling more than one processor as the jobs have to be executed on ore than one CPU. It is capable of loadsharing. f Firewall is a technique used to secure computer systems or network to block unauthorized access and allow only the authorized users. Firewall can be implemented as hardware or software or both. g Assembler is a language processor. It translates a program written in assembly language to machine language. Q A String str = txtname.gettext(); int age = Integer.parseint(txtage.getText()); int bill=0; if(chkjr.isselected()) bill+=00; if(chkjr.isselected()) bill+=00; if(age<) bill-=50; txtres.append( \nage : +age); txtres.append( \nbill : +bill); 4 b mark for correct input stmt mark for correct if- else stmt mark for correct output stmt Java compiler produces bytecode, which is a machine instruction code for a java processor chip called Java Virtual Machine. This bytecod is platform independent.
c int a=5, b=0, c=9, d=8; System.out.println( + ((a++)+(++c)-(--b)+(d--)); Output = 4 (right to left) System.out.println( + ( (a>b)? ((c>d)?(++d):35) : (--b) ) ); Output = 8 d Convert the following code segment using switch-case construct : int num = Integer.parseInt(txtNum.getText()); switch(num) case : case 3 : case 4 : case 5 : txtres.settext( Prime ); break; case 6 : case 8 : case 0 : txtres.settext( Even ); break; default : txtres.settxt( Not Valid ); Q3 a Predict the output of the following java construct : Output = 8 b Ordinary Method It is a collection of Java statement Can have any valid return type, even void also Any name except class name Constructor It creates an object of the class Has no return type, not even void Same name as the class name c int calcsum (int N, int N, int N3) return (N+N+N3); 4 float calcavg (int N, int N, int N3) return (float)(n+n+n3);
d int calcmax (int N, int N, int N3) return ( (N>N? (N>N3? N : N3)? (N>N3?N : N3 ); marks each for writing correct method mark for finding greatest between N, N and N3 Actual Paratmeters are those parameters which appear in the method call statement. Formal parameters are those parameters which appear in the method definition. int Marks(int x, int y) //formal parameters return(x+y); int a=, b=3; int c=marks(a,b); // actual parameters mark for correct definition mark for correct example e Comments are used to provide internal documentation. They are given by // or /*.*/ int Marks(int x, int y) //formal parameters return(x+y); /* int a=, b=3; int c=marks(a,b); // actual parameters */ mark for correct definition mark for correct example f Divide by zero when we try to divide a number by 0 When we try to calculate square root of a negative number g. Program should be user friendly. The user should not concern about what is happening inside the code.. The program should be portable i.e. should be run on different platforms. Q4 a Write a short note on : i) MySQL Features Any 4 features such as cost, query language support, portability, speed, ease of use, security etc. ii) Referential Integrity It is a database concept, which states that table relationships 6
B must always be consistent. In other words, any foreign key field must agree with the primary key that is referenced by the foreign key. Or any other relevant definition. iii) Database Constraints Constraint are the rules used to specify for the data in a table. These are the rules enforced on data columns in a table. Types of constraints Primary Key, NOT NULL, Default, Check, Unique What is NULL? - NULL is used to represent missing values. A NULL value in a table is the value in the field that is blank. What happens when you perform arithmetic calculations on NULL values. Arithmetic operations on a column that has NULL values, is also NULL. c DDL create, alter, drop DML select, insert, update, delete Q5 a ROUND(X,D) return X rounded to D decimal places. ROUND(5.98,) = 5.3 TRUNCATE(X,D) number is truncated to D digits after decimal places. TRUNCATE(5.98,) = 5. b Given the following table structure and sample data : 4 Table Name : SARAGAM Field Name Data Type Data Limit Constraints Albumid Numeric 4 Primary Key Album Text 0 NOT NULL Cost Numeric 3 Default 0 Quantity Numeric 3 Greater than 0 Singer Text 0 Sample Data : Albumid Album Cost Quantity Singer 00 SAHER 50 4 JAGIT 00 MADHUSHALA 50 6 MANNA 003 IBADAT 80 8 RAFI 004 KISMAT 80 6 RAFI 005 HALCHAL 00 4 KISHORE 006 BLACK 0 0 MICHEL 007 PASSION 00 5 SHAKIRA 008 NAMESAKE 90 3 MADONA
