Do not use this apparatus near water. 6. Clean only with a dry cloth. 7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. 8. Do not install unit near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9. Do not defeat the purpose of the polarized or groundingtype plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a grounding prong. The wide blade and third prong are provided for your safety. I the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. 10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. 11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/ apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over. 13. 11 Indoor Dome Camera Introduction en 11 2 Introduction These indoor domes are compact, stylish surveillance cameras that offer excellent resolution in variable lighting conditions. The high performance 1/3 inch CCD provides a resolution of 650 TVL. The dome is available in two versions: VDC-275 Color Indoor Dome VDN-276 Day/Night Indoor Dome The camera is an ideal solution for demanding scene conditions. The Day/Night feature ensures the highest image quality possible at any time. Depending on the available light, the camera automatically switches from color to monochrome. The camera is easy to install and can be adjusted around 3 axes. The packaging contains: Indoor Dome Camera Service monitoring cable Guide pattern Installation manual Mounting screws If equipment has been damaged during shipment, repack it in the original packaging and notify the shipping agent or supplier. 13 Indoor Dome Camera Camera controls en 13 4 Camera controls LL INT 4.1 Menu navigation 1. Up Move the cursor up in the screen. 2. Down Move the cursor down in the screen. 3. Left Move the cursor left in the screen. 4. Right Move the cursor right in the screen. 5. Center Press straight down to open Menu or Set. 4.2 Monitoring and switches 6. Service monitor connector When installing the camera, connect a service monitor to set angle of view and focus of the screen. (This output cannot be used simultaneously with the main video output.) 7. Sync. switch Move the DIP switch to the LL position to activate Line-lock. Installation should only be performed by qualified service personnel in accordance with the National Electrical Code or applicable local codes. 15 Indoor Dome Camera Installation en Mounting the unit Camera mounting To mount the camera: 1. Stick the guide pattern on the surface of installation. 2. Drill holes as per the guide pattern and insert anchors into the mounting holes. 3. Connect the power/video cables and feed the excessive cable length into the surface 4. Mount the camera base on the installation surface using the three screws supplied. 5. Adjust the focus and 3 axis bracket to obtain desired image scene. 6. Align the dome cover over the base on the marks and snap it in. 7. Adjust the dome cover and make sure it is properly closed. Use the up and down buttons to move the cursor to a submenu Use the right and left buttons to change values. Press the center button to select an item. Speed: sets the convergence speed 0 to 255 of the mechanical iris (a value between 50 and 150 is recommended). 6.3 Shutter/AGC menu Auto setup High luminance Mode: select AUTO IRIS or SHUT+AUTO IRIS. Delay cnt: sets the time-based hysteresis of ATW between 0 and 255). ATW Frame: sets the pull-in frame magnification between X0.50 andx2.00) Environment: sets the pull-in frame of ATW to indoor or outdoor Push Full pull-in adjusts the white balance regardless of the subject conditions. B-gain: BLUE level adjustment (0 to 255) R-Gain: RED level adjustment (0 to 255) User2 WB Set gain values for afluorescent light. B-gain: BLUE level adjustment (0 to 255) R-Gain: RED level adjustment (0 to 255) Anti CR Use this feature when there is color rolling. Level: RED and BLUE gain adjustment (24 to 90 for NTSC; 24 to 97 for PAL) Push lock (hold) If the set color temperature does not meet your environment, press the center (MENU) button to adjust the color temperature to the desired setting. 6.5 Backlight Select between OFF, HLC, and BLC BLC: backlight compensation lightens the darker part of the image. Gain: select between 0 and ATR menu (digital WDR) Select OFF or ON for ATR(Adaptive Tone Reproduction). Luminance: select between Low, Mid or High. Press the center (menu) button in ENABLE mode to access the 84 (12 x 8) blocks. To return to previous page press the center (menu) button for 5 seconds and then release it. Monitor area: select OFF or ON. Area select: select between 1/4(pink), 2/4(green), 3/4(purple) or 4/4(yellow). Top: extend or reduce the upper limit of the detection area ( 0 to 244 for NTSC; 0 to 288 for PAL). Use the control pad to move to the character you want and select it. Repeat this to enter the camera ID you desire. You can enter up to 52 characters. If LL is selected the following phase menu is available. Phase: adjust the phase (vertical direction) between 0 and 524 for NTSC, or 0 and 624 for PAL Language Select between English, Japanese, German, French, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, or Simplified Chinese Camera reset Select to recall the default configurations of General submenu parameters only Return Select to return to the main menu Next Select to proceed to the next menu. 34 34 en Troubleshooting Indoor Dome Camera 7 Troubleshooting 7.1 Resolving problems The following table is intended to help identify the causes of malfunctions and correct them where possible. Malfunction No image on screen. The image on the screen is dim. The image on the screen is dark. The camera is not working properly, and its surface is hot. The image on the screen flickers. Solution Check that the power cord and line connection between the camera and monitor are fixed properly. Check that you have properly connected VIDEO cable to the camera VIDEO output jack. Is lens stained with dirt? Clean your lens with soft, clean cloth. Ensure the monitor is set up correctly. If the camera is exposed to strong light, change its position. Adjust the focus. Adjust the contrast of the monitor. If you have an intermediate device, set the 75 Ohm / Hi-z correctly. Check that you have properly connected the camera to an appropriate power source.
