1 Page 1 of 17 Laseroptronix offers a range of unique active camera systems with unique characteristics for demanding applications in home land security. Now we have the solution needed in a multitude ofd applications where performance and cost is an important issue. * Range gated laser camera systems where we use a pulsed laser source to illuminate an area at long range. By strobing the integrated ICCD camera it is possible to see though haze and bad weather at zero light applications. We can control shutter so we can set a distance where we see with illumination and cut off distance areas on no interest. This will increase range in bad weather by factor 2-3. * Active laser cameras are based on a high power laser that operates as an invisible lamp and a high end WDR camera system that use the light to see at long and very long range. The near IR light is better to penetrate haze and fog that visible spectra do and we have substantial improvements in range and image quality. * Active HiPower led cameras are similar to laser cameras but we have special high power led emitters to generate light to get a good image quality. Here we have very good focus to the led and very high power so we have far better range than what normal IR led cameras can reach.

Operation on water surfaces is extra excellent as water appears very dark and targets white Camera unit at right have 6 high power pulsed lasers operating at 835 nm in near spectra. Lasers are collimated to a square beam that match the view of the camera unit. Camera unit is an ICCD camera that can be strobed in time and shutter control with 2 nano sec in accuracy. Visibility range is from 50 meter to 1500 meter. Image over a sea with a canoe in the water 600 meter away. This shows the very bright view of what is important to see and reduction of disturbances. Field of view is 7 degree and we have a fixed focal length. SeaLynx can also operate as a passive ICCD night vision camera or with an all time active laser beam. Unique is combined view where camera scans all ranges and show all area with a clear sharp image. The unit is rugged and solid and can handle the most severe conditions. Range in illumination mode is up to meter in total darkness. persons 300 meter and boats 500 meter operation distance. Camera and laser are controlled in synchronization mode or separate. Settings can be from 2-45 degree in field of view. ( 23X ratio) Speed is variable from degree / sec Laser is a 860 nm Near IR laser that is rather good in haze and fog. IP 65 encapsulation and vey rugged design makes it to full fill some MIL spec demands. Image at 200 meter distance in dense darkness at sea. here camera was zoomed up to see the birds. Water appears dark and vegetation and objects have a good contrast At day time the camera is a color CCD camera with 23X zoom of better level. Laser diode is 5W in power and this makes the laser to be a 3B device. This needs some care about laser safety. Camera installed on a boat in Sweden. Here the camera was used for night driving and to see ahead. Operation was really excellent and small objects in front of boat was easy to see even if floating just at low surface.laserglobe is attractive in cost and is a very good alternative to thermal cameras in most applications.

This device have a very attractive price and can be interfaced in most installations to other 3-part software and equipment. Output is standard PAL so all is simple to operate. *! LaserGlobe 300 is delivered with control key board and cables and power supply. *! Output is PAL and RS 485 for all controllers *! Optional TCP/IP web server available LaserGlobe is in comparison with thermal cameras offering a far better image quality as CCD cameras do but there is no limit in ambient light. The active illumination makes the cameras very good to see into darker areas behind illuminated areas. These areas gives large problems for CCD cameras as dynamic range is not good enough. Now several airports in EU are guarded by LaserGlobe cameras and technology has reached acceptance as a really good solution for demanding applications in CCTV and home land security.

LaserCatch 500 is a 500 meter range camera that can see people at 500 meter in distance in total darkness. Camera can be used in firm mounts or installed on an external PT unit. The camera have electrical zoom control where booth laser and camera tracks automatically under control of a micro controller. Laser beam have a homogenization optics that makes the brightness of the laser even and uniform all over the camera field of view. The camera is normally delivered with a really good PT unit. As most active laser cameras this is fulfilling many MIL spec demands and is very rugged and robust Color video at day and at nights we have a monochrome image. It is a larger version of the other cameras with better optics and a larger laser illuminator unit. Characteristics are like other cameras in most points except the excellent long range characteristics. LaserCatch 8000 the long range active laser camera This is the longest range device we have just now with a full 5000 meter range in darkness to se persons very far away with a clear image quality. This is the really long range system with a large 200 mm diameter optics and a full 1500 mm focal length lens system.zoom is 60X. When range demand are very high as in harbor and border applications this can be the solution to protect the area. These products are normally delivered as a system including far more than just a laser camera. Typical we have web interface and access combined with a thermal camera system. Oil platform at 6000 meter distance at night and a boat at 3000 meter in night time.

Some numbers are installed in a critical border control system with highest demands. Contrast enhancing units that analyze and improve video stream quality a lot. THis is a black box unit added on the video cable and it operates automatic all time. Long range do often have haze and particles in the air and here this helps a lot. View of some trees at 200 meter in distance to show the very nice illumination pattern we can get with laser illumination. Beam is square and match camera well. It is also very uniform in intensity. To all cameras we can add a laser distance meter that measure distance to what we look at. Combined with angles from pan and tilt we can calculate a global target position with a few meters in error.
