8 Handling Precautions Assist Vision Slider has rollers for moving around. Use Assist Vision Slider on a sufficiently wide, level surface. Using this product on a tilted surface or narrow area could lead to the unit tipping over. Built-in batteries are consumables, and are not covered by warranty. Repetition of short charging (about 30 min.) and operation could result in reduction of battery life (Memory Effect). To prevent this from occurring, discharge the battery fully by leaving the power ON (without connecting the AC adaptor) until the battery power light goes off. This should be done approx. once a month. Black or colored specks may appear on the LCD screen (defective pixels). This is not a result of faulty equipment and unless more than 10 such specks appear, this will not be covered under the warranty. A transparent protective sheet is supplied with the LCD monitor. Please remove the protective sheet before use. 8

9 1.Outline of Equipment Assist Vision Slider is a color video magnifier assembled with TV camera, lens and LCD monitor. Images taken by the camera unit are enlarged and displayed on the LCD monitor. The Camera unit and camera holder are detachable from the main unit.
