2 Sky Talk is Sky s residential telephony service. Sky Talk Tariff Guide This Tariff Guide allows Sky Talk package customers in the Republic of Ireland to find applicable rates to the different call destinations and outlines some features of the service. In presenting tariff information Sky is required to adhere to the principles set out in the ComReg Code for Tariff Presentation. This Code requires the presentation of accurate and comprehensive tariff information that is accessible to the consumer. Sky complies with this Comreg Code. A full copy of the code can be accessed on the ComReg website. 2

3 Time Bands All calls fall within one of three time bands: Daytime Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm Evening Monday to Friday, at all times which are not Daytime Weekend Between midnight on Friday and midnight on Sunday Call Duration Rounding The duration of all call types will be rounded up to the next whole minute, except for calls to Directory Enquiries which are rounded up to the next whole second. VAT All prices that appear on this Tariff Guide are inclusive of VAT. Sky customers should see our terms and conditions ( and visit to find information on changes to rates. Call Charge Rounding Each call charge on your Statement will be rounded up to the next cent. Minimum Fee For certain types of calls, customers will be charged the higher of the (a) total rate of that call (based on the actual call duration), or (b) minimum fee specified for that type of call. The call types this applies to and their minimum fee will be shown in the applicable section. For example, a customer that has made a call to a premium rate number with a specified minimum fee of 235 cents. If the total cost of the call (based on the actual call duration) is less than 235 cents, then the customer will be charged 235 cents. If the total cost of the call (based on the actual call duration) is more than 235 cents, the customer will be charged for the total cost of the call. 3

4 Package Features Customers of Sky Talk will have one of two packages: Sky Talk Freetime; or Sky Talk Anytime Both packages must be taken with the Sky Talk Line Rental product. Anytime international geographic landline calls of up to an hour to 20 countries (Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA (also includes calls to mobiles in Canada and USA). Fair Use Policy applies. Optional Features Customers that subscribe to Sky Talk also have a variety of telephony and call features to choose from. You will receive only one bill for all your telephone charges, including the optional features chosen. Sky will not offer existing or new Sky Talk customers handset rental services if this wasn t provided to them by their previous service provider 4

5 Calls to Sky Customer Service Calls to Sky Customer Service (prefix & 0818) are not charged. Calls to Directory Enquiry Services All Sky Talk customers can make calls to Directory Enquiry numbers at the chargeable rates given in the table below: All prices are in cents and inclusive of VAT Directory Number Connection fee Daytime Price Per Second Evening Weekend No call charge for the first thirty (30) seconds of calls to this number. 6 Calls to Premium Rate Numbers Sky Talk Tariff Guide Premium Rate Services are typically calls to competition hotlines, voting lines, weather forecasts, charity fundraising lines and adult content lines. A Connection fee of 9.70c will apply to these calls. 6

7 Calls to VoIP Numbers (076) Sky Talk Tariff Guide For all Sky Talk customers calls to voice over IP (VoIP) numbers with prefix 076 are charged at a rate of 6.90c per minute (daytime & evening), and 2.50c per minute (weekend). A Connection fee of 9.70c will apply to these calls. Universal Access & Shared Rate Numbers (0818, 1850 & 1890) The table below sets out the call rates for all calls made to Universal Access & Shared rate numbers by Sky Talk customers: All prices are in cents and inclusive of VAT Rate Numbers Connection Fee Daytime Price Per Minute Evening Weekend Universal Access Shared Rate Fixed Shared Rate Timed Internet Dial Up Customers wanting to access dial up internet services via their Sky Talk landline can do so by dialling the appropriate numbers with prefixes 1891, 1892 or 1893 (FRIACO). The call charges for such services are set out below: All prices are in cents and inclusive of VAT Numbers Connection Fee Daytime Price Per Minute Evening Weekend Internet Internet Internet 1893 (FRIACO) Calls to other Call services Calls to other service numbers, including Eirpac charged access (prefix 1511), are charged at the rates below: All prices are in cents and inclusive of VAT Service Connection Fee Daytime Price Per Minute Evening Weekend Eirpac Charged Access Speaking Clock Calls to Northern Ireland For Sky Talk Anytime customers, calls of up to an hour to Northern Ireland local and national numbers are inclusive and then charged at 6.90c per minute (daytime & evening) and 1.40c per minute (weekend) thereafter, or you can hang up before 60 minutes and redial. For Sky Talk Freetime customers, Nothern Ireland landline calls are charged at a rate of 6.90c per minute (daytime & evening), and 1.40c per minute (weekend). A connection fee of 9.70c will apply. 7
