5 Introduction ilocator is a newly develop GPS tracking system that combine with today Smartphone to Track and Locate any moving object or personnel via your Smartphones such as iphone, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and more. By making a phone call from a 3G phone, ilocator will hang- up the phone call automatically and send back GPS location information with a Google Map link via an SMS (Short Message Service), one can easily acquire the real- time position report from this link. In addition, by pressing the SOS button for an emergency report to the authorized 3G phone, the towed away event can be managed and immediately reported to the user. ilocator offers you total control and real- time location information via a Google Map link to your 3G phones. There is not a monthly subscription fee or hidden fee, the only fee is the SMS fee that your mobile carrier charges you. ilocator can be your cost effective solution in vehicle security, children and elder s protection, and pets or valuable asset tracking. Battery usage CAUTION To prevent battery leakage which may result in bodily injury, property damage, or damage to the unit: Install all batteries correctly, + and - as marked on the unit. Remove batteries when the unit is not used for a long time. Do not dry a wet or damp battery with an appliance or heat source, such as a hair dryer or microwave oven. Don t disassemble, crush, puncture, shred, or otherwise attempt to change the form of your battery. Do not allow the battery to touch metal objects. If metal objects, such as jewelry, stay in prolonged contact with the battery contact points, the battery could become very hot. Do not place your battery near a heat source. Excessive heat can damage ilocator or the battery. High temperatures can cause the battery to swell, leak, or malfunction. Do not allow the battery to touch metal objects. The government of the United States operates the Global Positioning System (GPS), which is solely responsible for its accuracy and maintenance. The accuracy of location data can be affected by adjustments to GPS satellites made by the United States government and are subject to change with the United States Department of Defense civil GPS policy and the Federal Radio navigation Plan. Accuracy can also be affected by poor satellite geometry. Your location, buildings, natural obstacles, and weather conditions may affect availability and quality of GPS signals. The GPS receiver should only be used outdoors to allow reception of GPS signals. In order to get the best GPS performance, please go outside and away from underground locations, covered vehicles, structures with metal or concrete roofs, tall buildings, and foliage. Indoor performance might improve if you move closer to windows, but some window sun shielding films can block satellite signals. Move away from radios, entertainment equipment, and other electronic devices. 6 of 44

7 GSM Do s ilocator is a GSM enabled device. In order to use ilocator correctly, please make sure that the device must be switched on, must have a valid SIM card installed, and you must be located in a service area of the cellular network. Note: The SIM Card must not contain a PIN Login Code. Do avoid dropping the battery or ilocator. Dropping these items, especially on a hard surface, can potentially cause damage. Do contact your service provider if your ilocator or battery has been damaged from dropping or high temperatures. Battery Charging When charging your battery, keep it near room temperature. Never expose batteries to temperatures below 0 C (32 F) or above 45 C (113 F) when charging. New batteries are not fully charged. New batteries or batteries stored for a long time may take more time to charge. ilocator batteries and charging systems have circuitry that protects the battery from overcharging. Disposal of your Mobile Device & Accessories Please do not dispose of mobile devices or electrical accessories (such as chargers or batteries) with your household waste. Do not dispose of your battery or mobile device in a fire. These items should be disposed of in accordance with the national collection and recycling schemes operated by your local or regional authority. 7 of 44

8 Hardware Introduction Install the SIM Card: Note: ilocator unit design and color may change without notice. Please follow the steps below to insert the SIM Card: Screw the back cover of ilocator off and pull out the lid. Remove the battery. Unlock the SIM card slot by sliding the holder toward the OPEN direction. Place the SIM card into the SIM card holder. Lock the SIM card slot by sliding the holder toward the LOCK direction. Please ensure the SIM card is well placed in the holder and well contacted; otherwise, ilocator might fail to detect the SIM card. Install the Battery: Please follow the steps below to insert the backup battery: Screw the back cover of ilocator off and pull out the lid. Connect the metal side of the battery to the socket in the corner and place the battery well. Screw the back cover of ilocator on. 8 of 44

11 After setting is done remember to press OK icon to send out the SMS. If the configuration is succeed, will show "CFG is OK" messages on the cellphone. The configuration SMS message is as below: #Current_Password*TMS*New_Password*Phone_Number1*Phone_Number2* Phone_Number3* Low_Battery_Setting*Time_ Zone Setting*Device_Name# ilcator Name: User can use this parameter to assign a preferred name for the SM- 500 and it will appear on each SMS report. The maximum length is 10 characters, which can be mix of numbers and the English alphabet. Symbols like $,%,@, or ~, etc must be avoided. Mobile 1: Maximum length is 16 characters including the character +. Example: Note: 1. The Mobile1 is necessary in the SMS setting message to enable all functions. 2. Supporting all functions listed as below: a. Real- Time location report via SMS by an authorized phone call or SMS. b. Emergency report to a maximum of three authorized phone numbers via SMS. c. Moving report to a maximum of three authorized phone numbers via SMS. d. Low battery level report to the pre- set phone number. e. Phone monitor Note: For any subsequent settings, a new Mobile1 will replace the previous Mobile1. Mobile 2 & 3: Maximum length is 16 characters which is including the character +. Example: Note: 1. The Mobile 2 & 3 supports the following functions: a. Emergency report to a maximum of two authorized phone numbers via SMS. b. Real- Time location report via SMS by an authorized phone call or SMS. 11 of 44

12 2. For any subsequent setting, a new Mobile 2 & 3 will replace the previous Mobile 2 & 3 ilocator Mobile: Maximum length is 16 characters including the character + if needed. Example: Note: The Car Mobile setting SM- 500 SIM card Password: Setting SM- 500 main unit password. The Password preset *** How to setting the new password of SM- 500? Step 1: Please enter the old password (for example: 0000 ) at first that preset the old password On the configuration page, then press OK button to send out the confirm message. Step 2: After received the CFG is OK message as confirmed the old password. Then enter the new password (minimum 4 digitals and maximum 10 digitals limited), and press the OK button to send out the confirm message. Step3: The new password was settled after received the CFG is OK message that mean new password was recognized by SM500 main unit. Low Battery Setting: This parameter is to enable the low battery level report. 0: Disabled, means no report will be sent to the preset Phone Number1 via SMS in case the internal battery level is low. 1: Enabled, means a Low Batt report will be sent to the preset Phone Number1 via SMS in case the internal battery level is low. PS: Enter only 0 or 1, if you enter other numbers will show ERROR Time Zone Setting: Set up the local time for ilocator. The format is +HHMM. The original setting in ilocator is the GMT time. 14 Operations Location Press will show then hold for 1.5 sec, after change to then press and hold or or or for 1.5 sec. SM500 will check the incoming call (or SMS) is the registration of the effective number or not, and hang up, then send back Location SMS if cellphone number is correct and will automatic link to Google Map to show where is the unit by Google Map. Remark: As iphone OS4 limit, the GPS location will be SMS text only. Please tap the link in the SMS text to link to Google Map. The smartphone must be in GPRS or EDGE or 3G or Wi- Fi active mode can link to Internet if want to locate the unit. Voice Press, will show then hold for1.5 sec, after change to then press and hold or or or for 1.5 sec. When show and or or or smartphone will SMS to the registered SM500 main unit. SM500 will check the valid registered SMS of the incoming SMS, if number is correct, SM500 will call back to the cellphone, user can pick up and monitor (just listen only, can not talk to the unit). Remark: It is illegal for the listen for some countries. Home Press will immediately return to main page. 14 of 44

15 SOS Press can check SOS List. When smartphone receive the SOS SMS send by SM500, will show the red icon and red icon or or or to show which unit is in SOS emergency situation. 17 Login Code Change Press can change the cellphone app. software login code. Login Code is preset: 0000 It needs to enter old Login Code, and then enter new Login code, and repeat enters new Login Code again to check whether the new Login Code is correct. The login code is changed to new login code after press OK icon or cancel or exit new login code setting page after press back icon. Locate by SMS / Call Press to enter Locate by SMS / Call. 17 of 44

18 Preset at calling mode. To save the SMS expense, can use calling method to call to SM500main unit that will send back. the location SMS, just one SMS expense. In some countries, like Mexico, South East Asia, South Asia or other the caller ID number maybe changed when they received the call, so the SM500 main unit cannot correctly recognize the registered cellphone number, at this situation, must change to SMS method, this will cost 2 SMS expense to get GPS location. ilocator in SMS mode. Press will show then hold for 1.5 sec, after change to then press and hold or or or for 1.5 sec. when show and or or or will SMS to registered SM500 main unit. SM500 will check the incoming SMS is the registration of the effective number or not, then send back Location SMS if cellphone number is correct. And automatic link to Google Map to show where is the unit by Google Map. Remark: As iphone OS4 limit, the GPS location will be SMS text only. Please tap the link in the SMS text to link to Google Map, the smartphone must be in GPRS or EDGE or 3G or Wi- Fi active 18 of 44

Press Cancel Geo Fence icon will cancel the Geo Fence function. Will show «Geo Fence setting OK» if Geo Fence configuration succeed. Will show «Geo Fence cancelled» if Geo Fence cancelled configuration succeed. ilocate will send Geo Fence Warning if the unit over the Geo Fence settled distance. 21 Press to enter the Speed Warning function. SPEED WARNING 1. Press ilocate or or or to select the unit. 2. Enter the Speed Warning: If enter by Km will also automatic show the equal Miles. If enter by Mile will also automatic show the equal Km. 3. Over Speed Period 15/30 sec.: Will send the warning if over the settled speed more than 15 or 30 seconds, can select 15 or 30 seconds for the over speed period. 4. Press Cancelled Speed Warning icon will cancel the Over Speed Warning. Will show «Speed Warning setting OK» if Speed Warning configuration is succeed. Will show «Speed Warning cancelled» if Speed Warning Cancelled configuration is succeed. Will show Speed Warning if the unit over the speed selects more than 15 or 30 seconds. 25 Other Functions: How to enable the emergency report SOS for ilocator 1. Press and hold the SOS button of ilocator for 3 seconds; it will long vibrate 3 times to confirm the function is set. 2. The 3 LEDs of ilocator will blink simultaneously for 5 seconds which indicates that the emergency report is produced and ilocator is sending the emergency SMS message to the pre- set phone number(s). 3. The 3G phone(s) with the authorized phone number(s) will receive the emergency report via SMS as the following sample: Example: SOS ILOCATOR 2010/04/16 10:38:25 Lat: Lon: Spd:0Km/h Sat: of 44

26 1. Enable the web link (Google Map link), as above, to show the location map on the 3G phone. How to enable the moving detection for ilocator 1. Quickly press the SOS button 3 times within 2 seconds. The vibrate motor will vibrate 3 times to confirm motion detection enable. 2. The power LED of ilocator will blink twice every 5 seconds, and keep blinking this way under the moving detection mode. Meanwhile, the GPS and GSM LEDs are OFF in this mode. The ilocator starts to detect the moving event 180 seconds after this mode is enabled. No action will be taken within the 180 seconds delay even if movement has occurred. This delay of 180 seconds is designed for preventing false alarm. 3. If movement is detected by the ilocator after the 180 seconds delay (180 seconds after pressing the SOS button 3 times within 2 seconds), the 3 LEDs of the ilocator will blink simultaneously, 1 second ON and 1 second OFF, 30 times (for a total of 60 seconds). The moving report will not be sent out via SMS to the pre- set phone number(s) before the 60 seconds delay is reached. The 60 seconds delay of the moving report is designed for preventing false alarm. 26 of 44

27 4. Quickly press the SOS button 3 times within 2 seconds again to cancel the moving report during the 60 seconds delay after the moving report is triggered. This can also disable the moving detection mode. 5. The moving detection will be turned OFF automatically after sent out the moving report. 6. 28 7. Enable the web link (Google Map link), as above, to show the location map on the 3G phone. Note: After one- minute, the moving detection will continue to send our moving alert after the first triggered. A maximum of 3 moving alert SMS message will be send out (this feature is to keep the SMS Rate low) and after the 3 moving alerts SMS message the ilocator still remain in Motion Detection Enable Mode. The user must manually Disable the Motion Detection function (quickly press SOS button 2 times within 2 seconds; vibrate motor will quickly vibrate 2 times to confirm Motion Detection Disable). How to enable the low battery level report for ilocator 1. Set the Low_Battery_Setting to 1 in the SMS message. 2. Only Phone_Number1 will receive the Low Batt report if the low battery level event occurs. 3. 29 4. Enable the web link (Google Map link), as above, to show the location map on the 3G phone. The automatic power saving function ilocator will enter power saving mode when inactive for five minutes, in order to save 29 of 44

30 power and extend the operation time. The automatic power saving function is enabled when the SMS setting is complete. In power saving mode, the last valid location information will be stored in the unit, meanwhile the GPS function will be switched off, but the GSM communication will remain on and in standby status for the next location query use. Any movement will wake ilocator up immediately and keep it in normal operation (GPS is on, GSM is on and motion sensor is on). The LED Indicating Illustration GPS LED: 1. Quick blinking (2 blinks every 1 second): GPS is not fixed. 2. Slow blinking (1 blink every 3 seconds): GPS is fixed. 3. OFF: Power off or in moving detection mode or in Power Saving mode. PWR LED: 1. Quick blinking (2 blinks every 1 second): System is initializing or system error has occurred. 2. Slow single blinking- 1 (1 blink every 2 seconds): ILOCATOR is charging. 3. Slow single blinking- 2 (1 blink every 3 seconds): System is ready. 4. Very slow single blinking (1 blink every 6 seconds): In power saving mode. 5. Low double blinking (2 blinks every 5 seconds): moving detection mode is enabled. 6. OFF: Power off. 7. Solid ON: SPT10G is fully charged. GSM LED: 1. Quick blinking (2 blinks every 1 second): Searching for GSM network. 2. Slow blinking (1 blink every 3 seconds): GSM is ready. 3. 33 How to Install ilocator Apps Through the Apple APP Store for iphone 1. Make sure your iphone is connected to the Internet via Wi- Fi. 2. Within your iphone, Tap the APP Store Icon. 3. Tap the Search and Go to the Search Field and type: ikey ilocator. 33 of 44

Note: Due to ios Security Implementations and Design Concepts, some ilocator App Functions require you the USER to go out of ilocator App for some functions to be display.
