3 Collaboration in H2020 context Complementary grants (Art 41.4 MGA) are different EU grants linked by the work programme/calls by identifying them as complementary actions. A collaboration agreement has to be concluded - purely internal, private agreement - between consortium and beneficiaries of a complementary grant; - to coordinate the work - under the different GAs - to ensure a smooth and successful project implementation; - to set out the rights and obligations among themselves.

The projects are the engine of the 5GPPP: Support implementation of EU Vision Populating the 5G association's working groups and collaboration structures Providing substantial inputs (ex: standardisation, spectrum, KPIs) Integration to and contribution towards international developments and deployment Collaboration agreement between projects Joint definition of issues of common interests Sharing of results Ongoing for Phase 2 Projects More than just projects it's a PROGRAMME!

Phase I "holes" have been addressed (satellite, optical) Strong move towards software networks and cloudified networks both at RAN and Core level; Strong industry drive and SME presence now above the 20% target Very strong commitment towards programme integration and implementation of collaboration agreement and Phase 3 preparation 64% of Phase 2 beneficiaries are new with respect to Phase 1 Clear opportunities towards new actors

Very important to implement the roadmap in time

Key to demonstrate Will be used as input towards next MFF (including FP9) Longer Term: Next Multi Annual Financial Framework, MFF The budgetary period will include FP9 aspects Reflection already started in MS and in EC EC intention is to make a proposal by mid-2018 Important that you are engaged in the discussion with your national administrations Options very open at this stage, but good ideas welcome!
