For the purpose of converting software package installations to MSI files when MSI files do not exist, research the product called InstallShield. Locate two other products that package installation software into a format that is compatible with the automated distribution capabilities of Group Policy Object (GPO). Compare and contrast the three technologies and recommend the best, with an explanation of why you recommended one over the other two. If you think that it might be helpful, don't hesitate to download trial versions, if they exist, of your selected technologies. 2. In your own words, discuss policies relating to folder redirection. What difficulties - and solutions - might exist when users log onto the network from different buildings? Sites? States? Countries? 3. For the purpose of managing non-microsoft technologies, Group Policy Object contains an extensible component that includes a programming language that allows for the creation of customize Administrative Templates, thereby making any technology potentially manageable by GPO. Research and share two of the most useful links that you can find with information on creating customized Administrative Templates for managing non-microsoft technologies via GPO. 4. What is the name of the technology that allows a GPO to target something as specific as a computer with a particular version of an operating system or a computer with a certain amount of free space remaining on its primary hard drive? Points Possible: 100 Project Duration: 120 minutes Complete the TestOut Windows Server Pro: Manage and Administer Certification exam using the TestOut LabSim website on March 17 th, The TestOut Windows Server Pro: Manage and Administer performance-based assessment is scheduled to start precisely at 5:00 P.M. (in accordance with the Olympic College Final Exam Schedule for Winter Quarter 2016) for students in the on-ground section and may be completed anytime during the day for students in the on-line section. This performance-based assessment consists of only 11 questions with 40 tasks that you will need to perform. For certification purposes, a passing score will be 980 on a scale of Everyone will have two hours (120 minutes) to complete this one-hour exam, but I m anticipating that most students will not need the full amount of time. Log into the TestOut website using your OC-created student account and you should see the exam available [only] on the date specified above. This is a closed book exam. You can best prepare for this exam by completing the TestOut "Windows Server Pro: Manage and Administer Certification Practice Exam" on the TestOut website.
