1 Electrical & Electronics Engineering Curriculum for Class of 2020 (EFFECTIVE DATE: SEPTEMBER 2016)

2 Summary of curriculum update Existing required courses ELEC 316 Analog Communications and ELEC 304 Systems & Control are merged into a single new required course ELEC 301 Systems, Control and Communications. A new area elective course ELEC 413 Networks that covers new networking science and technology is introduced. A new area elective course ELEC 439 Sensors that covers science and technology of sensors and devices is introduced. ELEC 230 Programming for Engineers becomes a required area course. ELEC 311 Digital Integrated Circuits and VLSI Design is no longer a required area course. Track options are replaced with Area Elective Groups.
