4 Background USGBC first gathered in Milestone: USGBC Official Inception as 501 (c)3 Organization LEED v1.0 Pilot LEED v2.2 released in LEEDOnline. LEED v3.0 released in (LEED2009) Creation of GBCI, 501(c)6 non- profit in charge of credentialing and certifications. Creation of Green Associate Credential and AP with Specialty (AP+). Credential Maintenance n0w required.

7 Credential Maintenance Basics (1) 2 Options for renewal (and enrollment): Testing Credential Maintenance LOOK AT CMP GUIDE Especially Appendices If not achieved, Must retake Green Associate and/or Specialty AP exam as if a new candidate. If legacy AP, revert back to LEED AP w/o specialty

9 Credential Maintenance Basics (2) Login to My Credentials through the GBCI.org webpage. CMP Wizard at GBCI.org $50 renewal fee for AP with Specialty, $50 renewal fee for Green Associate. (no fee for Prescriptive) Total of $50 fee for renewal of multiple specialties! All CMP activities should: Not endorse any product or company Increase the competency of LEED Professionals Be chosen by the individual for professional development Address a topic related to the Categories (Appendix C) Follow current green building practices Provide accurate and relevant information

12 Reporting Period (1) 2 Years minus 1 day from award of credential! 05/10/ /09/2012. Different deadlines for Prescriptive Credential Maintenance.

13 Reporting Period (2) Multiple Specialties: If you have multiple specialties, total renewal fee is still $50. Only LEED Specific for extra specialties. If the credentials were received at different times, the credential maintenance req t. for the second (and beyond) specialty is prorated as follows:
