Fax: (011) Postal: P 0 Box 7104, Albemarle, info@pandttechnology.co.za Directors: NC Du Plessis (managing), ED Du Plessis CHIETA CRITERIA FOR TRADE TEST APPLICATION The Trade test criteria is as follows: 3 years relevant on-the-job experience with N2 or higher (with 4 subjects relevant to a trade) or CHIETA N2 Equivalent OR 3 years relevant working experience with relevant engineering NCV qualification at NQF Level 3 OR 18 Months relevant working experience plus completion of relevant working experience modules and relevant engineering NC(V) 4 OR 18 Months relevant working experience (directly related to the trade theory subjects) N6 Technical certificate or National Technical Diploma ( S or N stream) OR 3 years relevant working experience with technical Grade 12 with Maths, Engineering Science and related trade theory subjects OR 4 years relevant working experience with Grade 9 with Maths passed OR 80 weeks relevant on-the-job experience with Engineering Learnership, NQF levels 2,3 &4 related to the 9 trades listed above When the trade test application has been approved you will be required to do the following before you can do the Trade test: Trade test evaluation Gap training (if the evaluation shows that you have any) Trade test preparation Cost of the above are as follows: Trade Test R incl. VAT (2days) Trade Test Evaluation R incl. VAT (1 day) Trade Test GAP Training R incl. VAT (per week) Trade Test Preparation R incl. VAT (3 weeks full time) CHIETA TRADE TEST APPLICATION The following documents need to be submitted with the Trade Test application form. Completed Trade Test application forms (ARPL both application forms: Apprenticeships DHET application form only) Certified copy of ID Certified letter from you the Employer validating the years experience. Certified copies of certificates CV Certified copy of highest grade passed (e.g Matric/Grade 12) Apprenticeships only Certified copy of the log book. The log book also needs to be stamped by your company Please hand deliver or courier the application. We DO NOT accept any faxed / applications. The CHETA requires original certified stamps on the supporting documents and the certification stamp MAY NOT be older than 3 months before the application. If you are sending the application via courier or Fast mail, please ensure that you send it from COUNTER to DOOR in order for it to be delivered to our physical address. 2 APPLICATION FOR RPL TOWARDS TRADE TEST IN A LISTED TRADE PLEASE NOTE: 1.This RPL Application Form is to be used for RPL interim process towards a Trade Test until the Department Of Higher Education and Training (DHET) rolls out a National RPL Process 2. This RPL APPLICATION FORM must be submitted with the following documents ONLY after all documents are checked and found to be meeting RPL requirements in Section C, o RPL Pre-evaluation is conducted o the Pre-evaluation test sheets and Summary Report are to be attached in Section K,.4 of this form o the Application Form for Trade Test (DHET Form Trade Test must be conducted without approval and issue of candidate s serial number), o VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: o This form is an RPL Application only and not a trade test application. o For trade test please use the DHET trade test application form. o The Application Form will only be processed if all the fields are fully completed and relevant and legible supporting documents are attached. o The application Form must be fully and accurately completed and signed by the candidate/ relevant persons. o All the copies of the relevant supporting documents are legible, certified and attached behind the correct annexure. o The DTTC must ensure that the Application Form is fully and accurately completed and relevant supporting documents are attached. Failure to do so will result in the applications being returned or allocated to other DTTCs. o The Provider of Apprentice Training should be different from the DTTC selected, unless in specific situations with approval by the CHIETA.
