2 Smart OmniEdge A New Era in Edge Networking Extreme's Smart OmniEdge provides enterprises a new framework for how edge networks should be designed, deployed and consumed. 3 ExtremeCloud Appliance On-Premise and Private Cloud While ExtremeCloud delivers the public cloud and subscription options, ExtremeCloud Appliance complements it for premise and private cloud solutions. ExtremeCloud Appliance shares the same unified wired and wireless UI and workflows with ExtremeCloud, but includes the additional functionality required for a robust on-premise, campus and private cloud, distributed solution. Campus Solution ExtremeCloud Appliance leverages the award winning features from ExtremeWireless campus solutions. Incorporating the policy and role based BYOD on-boarding, flow-based technology for dense user solutions, and integrated application visibility and control applied at the access points to deliver the best customer-driven experience. 4 Private Cloud Distributed Solution For enterprises who need to manage many branch locations while remotely troubleshooting centrally, ExtremeCloud Appliance leverages the heritage and experience achieved from delivering WiNG solutions to the Fortune 100, with easy on-boarding of guest, social media, to site survivable branch offices, ExtremeCloud Appliance incorporates the best of breed solution for distributed solutions. Branch sites of up to 128 access points will be site survivable and not require local controller appliances. Figure 4: ExtremeCloud Appliance Private Cloud Distributed Solution Campus and Private Cloud Solution Enterprises, like retail and healthcare, may have large campuses, while needing to support many remote branches and offices. Smart OmniEdge is ideal for these deployments, leveraging ExtremeCloud Appliance to manage to the remote sites as well as the campus, providing a single pane of glass for managing and maintaining both distributed and campus solutions. 5 Management ExtremeCloud Appliance shares a common unified wired/wireless UI and workflow as ExtremeCloud, while providing the powerful flexible extensions that on-premise campus and private cloud distributed solutions require. The common UI and workflow simplify transitions and migrations, making network enhancements and changes quick and agile, achieving quicker roll outs, achieving the businesses digital transformation goals faster. ExtremeCloud Appliance incorporates extensive policy and control to securely manage users and devices. Securely onboard BYOD users on campus, to guest throughout a retail chain with social media credentials, ExtremeCloud Appliance includes the flexibility and choices needed for today's users. ExtremeCloud Appliance's powerful policy and control also ensures that devices are identified and securely segmented to prevent security breaches and leaks. 5

6 RF Visibility One of the key characteristics in providing a more intuitive management experience is visualization of the RF performance at each managed site. ExtremeCloud Appliance helps you understand the detailed performance of your Wi-Fi by providing Expert Views of the RF State, including; RxRate, TxRates, RSS, WirelessRTT, NetworkRTT and RFQI, along with planning views to understand your channel plan and the live RF coverage across your floor plan. ExtremeCloud Appliance includes a unique RF Quality Indicator (RFQI) which assigns a multi-dimensional score to how well a particular AP is serving its associated clients and paints it over the AP's coverage area. 7 Wi-Fi Locationing With pervasive wireless coverage throughout enterprises today, many businesses want to leverage their infrastructures with location-based services to monitor traffic flow and understand where resources may reside at peak times to help improve efficiency or customer experience. ExtremeCloud Appliance includes an integrated locationing analytics and management system. Understand your locationing coverage, generate heatmaps, or understand the footfall by visitors. For customers that have more extensive locationing needs, with increased granularity, micro-locationing using BLE and extensive location analytics, they can leverage ExtremeLocation, which integrates with ExtremeCloud Appliance. Leads the industry in Wireless Intrusion Prevention and supports advanced forensics analysis required for PCI, HIPAA, and other compliance regulations. Management Center is a single pane of glass management system that provides wired/wireless visibility and control from the data center to the mobile edge.
