Introduction 3/31 1 Introduction 1.1 Description of the contents This document describes the first steps of commissioning the Hilscher netiot Starterkit. Because the Edge Gateway (which is part of the Starterkit) and the Starterkit are delivered in separate packages, you first have to install the Edge Gateway in the casing of the Starterkit. You then have to connect yourself to the Edge Gateway via Web interface and configure its IP addresses and its system time. Step-by-step instructions for this are provided in this document. After having configured the Edge Gateway according to this manual, you can then proceed to use the netiot application according to the instructions given in the Application Note netiot Starterkit Flexibler Produktionsprozess mit Losgröße 1 (DOC160605ANxxDE) [not yet available in English]. 5 First steps of commissioning the netiot Starterkit 2 5/31 First steps of commissioning the netiot Starterkit Please note the following safety instructions before commissioning the netiot Starterkit: Lethal Electrical Shock caused by parts with more than 50V! Some wires inside the netiot Starterkit carry hazardous voltage. Make sure to disconnect the power plug before reaching inside the Starterkit! Risk of hand injury caused by sharp edges of the casing! The cutouts of the Plexiglas casing have sharp edges that can cut your hand. Be careful when reaching inside the Starterkit or wear protective gloves! Device destruction by exceeding allowed supply voltage! The netiot Starterkit must be operated with the allowed supply voltage in the range of 100 V to 240 V only! Supply voltage exceeding the allowed limit can cause severe damage to the Starterkit. The +24 V operating voltage of the individual devices inside the Starterkit must be supplied by the included UNO POWER unit only. Do not use any other powering devices instead. Installing Edge Gateway in Starterkit To avoid damage during transport, the netiot Starterkit and the Edge Gateway are delivered in separate packages. For commissioning the Starterkit, you must therefore first install the gateway in the Plexiglas casing of the Starterkit and then connect the cabling of the gateway. Lift the netiot Starterkit out of the carrying case. You can use the cutouts of the Plexiglas casing (see the blue markings in the picture below) for grasping it. Mind the sharp edges of the cutouts! Figure 1: Cutouts in Plexiglas casing of Starterkit

First steps of commissioning the netiot Starterkit 6/31 Place the Starterkit upright on a solid and even surface. Check the Starterkit for any possible transport damages before you proceed to install the Edge Gateway. Take the Edge Gateway out of its transport packaging. Have a cross-recess screwdriver (PH1) ready. Note the four screws at the rear pane of the Plexiglas casing and the two screws in the spacer bolts on the underside of the gateway (see the blue circles in the picture below). Figure 2: Screws and plugs Unscrew these screws and keep them within reach for further use. Remove the green Combicon plug from the gateway (see the red circle in the picture above). This plug will not be needed. Lead the power cable through the cutout at the front side (!) out of the Plexiglas casing of the Starterkit (see the red arrow in the picture above).

First steps of commissioning the netiot Starterkit 7/31 Tilt the gateway slightly upwards at the front and lift it through the cutout at the rear side of the Plexiglas casing. You will also need to tilt the rear side of the Plexiglas casing slightly upwards for smooth insertion of the gateway through the cutout. Figure 3: Inserting gateway into Plexiglas casing (side view) Push the gateway into the Plexiglas casing until it reaches its final position. You may have to turn both Wi-Fi antennas counter-clockwise, so that they can fit through the cutouts provided for the antennas. Figure 4: Pushing gateway into Plexiglas casing (side view)

First steps of commissioning the netiot Starterkit 8/31 Screw the gateway to the Plexiglas casing as depicted in the right picture. Use the screws that you have removed before inserting the gateway. Figure 5: Fix gateway to the casing (side view) Note: Please stick to the following sequence: First screw-in the four pan-head screws at the rear pane of the Plexiglas casing. Note: Do not completely tighten them yet. Then screw-in the two countersunk screws into the two spacer bolts on the underside of the gateway and tighten them. After that, you can at last tighten the four pan-head screws at the rear pane of the Plexiglas casing.

First steps of commissioning the netiot Starterkit 9/31 Plug in cables After having installed the gateway, plug the two green Ethernet cables into the RJ45 jacks of the gateway: Figure 6: Cabling after gateway installation Plug the 3-pole Combicon connector into the +24 V supply voltage connector socket of the gateway. Ê You have competed the installation and the wiring of the Edge Gateway in the Starterkit. Connect mains supply Connect the power plug of the Starterkit to the mains supply (100 V 240 V): Figure 7: Starterkit with mains plug

First steps of commissioning the netiot Starterkit 10/31 Use the red power switch to switch on the Starterkit: Figure 8: Power switch of netiot Starterkit Note: In its state of delivery, all software components of the devices inside the Starterkit (i.e. firmware, PLC program, PROFINET configurations, netiot application software) are already loaded and pre-configured for the current use case Flexible production process with lot size 1. The Hilscher netiot platform informs you about the availability of software updates for the Starterkit. You will also find instructions there on how to perform such updates. ð After switching-on the Starterkit, the LEDs start to blink. It then takes approximately one minute before all devices will have completed their booting process with the fieldbus then being ready for communication. The red COM LEDs of the devices will be automatically switched off in succession, and the transportation disc will rotate the red RFID tag boards into their starting positions, arresting the RFID tags right below their designated sensors. Should this not be the case, please contact the Hilscher Support under the phone number: +49 (0) ;

Establishing LAN connection to Edge Gateway 11/31 3 Establishing LAN connection to Edge Gateway There are several ways to establish an initial connection to the Edge Gateway via LAN, depending on whether or not a DHCP server is present in your LAN. 3.1 Using DHCP server to establish LAN connection to gateway If a DHCP server is present in your network: Plug an Ethernet cable into the port 1/eth0 LAN connector socket (this is the lower socket of the two RJ45 Ethernet LAN sockets) to connect the gateway to the network and the DHCP server: Figure 9: Connect LAN cable at port 1/eth0 if DHCP server is available Ê The Edge Gateway should now automatically obtain an IP address from the DHCP server. You can now access the Edge Gateway via host name or via Windows network. Note: The Edge Gateway sends a request to the DHCP server once after switching on the device or each time after an Ethernet cable has been connected, i.e. when the Edge Gateway detects a link signal. If you want to activate a request of the Edge Gateway to the DHCP server manually, pull off the Ethernet cable from the Edge Gateway briefly and then reconnect it.

Establishing LAN connection to Edge Gateway 12/31 Accessing gateway via its host name Using a DHCP server in your network allows you to access the gateway by simply entering its host name into the address bar of your web browser (your web browser must of course be connected to the same LAN as the DHCP server and the gateway). In its state of delivery, the host name of the gateway is composed of the prefix NT followed by the MAC ID (MAC address) of the port 1/eth0 LAN interface. You will find the host name for DHCP on the device label on the underside of the gateway (see red marking in the picture below): Figure 10: Host name of Edge Gateway (for DHCP) Enter the host name into the address bar of your web browser. In this example, enter the string Note: The device label of older Gateway versions does not feature the full host name for DHCP, but only the MAC ID of the port 1/eth0 LAN interface: In this case, add before the LAN MAC ID when you enter the host name into the address bar of your web browser (use syntax MAC ID> i.e. in this example

Establishing LAN connection to Edge Gateway 13/31 Ê A connection is established and the Edge Gateway Manager opens in your browser window. When connecting to the Edge Gateway for the first time, your browser will probably issue a security warning before displaying the Edge Gateway Manager. See section Security error messages when connecting to gateway [} page 16] for further information. Accessing gateway via Windows network environment The Edge Gateway supports the UPnP technology (Universal Plug and Play), so that it can be easily found within a network. If you are using a DHCP server, the Edge Gateway will thus be displayed in the Windows network environment. To display all devices in the network, open your Windows explorer and select Network. Ê You will find the Edge Gateway listed under Other Devices: Figure 11: netiot Edge Gateway entry in Windows network Double-click this entry. Ê A connection is established and the Edge Gateway Manager opens in your browser window. When connecting to the Edge Gateway for the first time, your browser will probably issue a security warning before displaying the Edge Gateway Manager. See section Security error messages when connecting to gateway [} page 16] for further information.

Establishing LAN connection to Edge Gateway 14/ Establishing direct (one-to-one) connection to Gateway (without DHCP server) If no DHCP server is available in your network, you can connect your PC or notebook by Ethernet cable directly to the Port 2/eth1 LAN interface of the gateway (upper RJ45 socket of the two LAN interfaces). For this, you must set an IP address on your PC or notebook that is compatible with the preset IP address and subnet mask of the port 2/eth1 LAN interface of the gateway. In its state of delivery, the preset IP address of the port 2/eth1 LAN interface is , the subnet mask is Connect Ethernet cable. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the port 2/eth1 LAN interface (upper socket) directly to your PC or notebook: Figure 12: Use port 2/eth1 LAN interface for direct connection to notebook or PC (if no DHCP server is available) 2. Set IP address on your PC or notebook (under Microsoft Windows). Open the Windows Control panel. Click Network and Sharing Center. Click Change adapter settings. Double-click the name of the network connection: Local Area Connection. (The name of the network connection may be different on your PC. Click Properties.

Figure 13: Setting IP address under Windows for direct LAN connection Set IP address and subnet mask Click OK and then Close. Ê You can now access the Edge Gateway from your PC or notebook via web browser. 3. Open Edge Gateway Manager in your web browser. Enter the following address into the address bar of your browser: Ê A connection is established and the Edge Gateway Manager opens in your browser window. Note: When connecting to the Edge Gateway for the first time, your browser will probably issue a security warning before displaying the Edge Gateway Manager. See section Security error messages when connecting to gateway [} page 16] for further information.

Establishing LAN connection to Edge Gateway 16/ Security error messages when connecting to gateway The Edge Gateway contains a certificate issued by Hilscher. Hilscher is not a member of the well-known certificate-issuing organizations, therefore your browser will at first show an "unsecure connection" warning message requesting you to confirm that you want to continue to access the gateway. For further information, see user manual Edge Gateway NIOT-E- TIJCX-GB-RE (DOC160402UMxxEN), section Secure connection and section Security certificates. Microsoft Internet Explorer If you are using the Microsoft Internet Explorer, the following page/message will most likely be shown: Figure 14: Security warning of Internet Explorer Click option Continue to this web site (not recommended). In Mozilla Firefox If you are using Firefox as a browser, the following error page/message will be shown (caused by a "self-signed" certificate): Figure 15: Security warning in Firefox (1)

Establishing LAN connection to Edge Gateway 17/31 To avoid this message in the future, proceed as follows: To display the complete message, click Advanced. Figure 16: Security warning in Firefox (2) To define an exceptional rule that enables you to access the user interface of the gateway without repeated error messages, click Add Exception... Figure 17: Firefox dialog box: Adding security exception Select the Permanently store this exception option. To save the rule, click Confirm Security Exception. ð Security messages will thus be avoided when you try to open the Edge Gateway Manager in the future.

Configuring IP addresses of Edge Gateway 18/31 4 Configuring IP addresses of Edge Gateway The Edge Gateway Manager opens in the web browser. The Edge Gateway Manager allows you to configure functions and settings of the Gateways, and to install new software packages. Figure 18: Edge Gateway Manager Click the Control Panel tile. Ê The login dialog of the Control Panel appears: Figure 19: Control Panel login dialog In its state of delivery, the following login parameters are preconfigured for the gateway: Username: admin Password: Enter the above stated user name and password.

Configuring IP addresses of Edge Gateway 19/31 Important: For security reasons, take care to change the preset default password of the administrator (admin) as soon as possible. You can change the password in the Control Panel under Session > User Profile > Edit user account or under User Management > Accounts > Edit user account. For further information see section User profile in the user manual Edge Gateway NIOT-E-TIJCX-GB-RE (on-premise), DOC160402UMxxEN, which can be downloaded from our netiot platform A locally stored HTML-based version of the user manual is also available in the Edge Gateway Manager under the Documentation tile. Ê The Control Panel opens: Figure 20: Control Panel of Edge Gateway In the menu bar of the Control Panel, choose Network > LAN.

Configuring IP addresses of Edge Gateway 20/31 Ê The configuration page of the LAN interfaces of the Edge Gateway opens: Figure 21: LAN interfaces of the Edge Gateway The interfaces eth0 (port 1) and eth1 (port 2) are intended for connecting the gateway to the "Cloud" (internet) respectively to your local company network. The cifx0 interface serves for connecting the gateway to the "fieldbus" respectively to the PROFINET automation network of the Starterkit. Important: The pre-fixed IP address of the cifx0 interface must not be changed, because it was deliberately set by Hilscher according to the requirements of the current application and the automation network of the Starterkit. Do not change the address settings of the cifx0 interface. Note: If you have connected the Edge Gateway to a LAN equipped with a DHCP server, the eth0 (port 1) interface under Settings shows the address parameters which it has received from the DHCP server. If you intend to keep on using the DHCP server connection at this interface, keep the DHCP option checked. The eth1 (port 2) interface shows the preset IP address with subnet mask

Configuring IP addresses of Edge Gateway 21/31 If you intend to connect to the Edge Gateway in future without using a DHCP server, but with a manually configured IP address instead, you must select the Fixed address option for the LAN interface that you are going to use (eth0 or eth1). Then you can enter your desired address parameters into the corresponding IP address and Subnet mask fields. In order to allow the Edge Gateway to connect itself to the "outside world", i.e. to the "Cloud", you must also enter the IP address of your router in the Gateway field. You may need to contact your local network administration and ask for the right parameters here. Click Save changes button after having entered the new address parameters. Important: In order to allow the Edge Gateway to communicate with the "Cloud" via MQTT, make sure that Port 8883 (standard port for MQTT via TLS) has been enabled for the gateway. Contact your local network administration for configuring your company firewall accordingly.

Configuring system time of Edge Gateway 22/31 5 Configuring system time of Edge Gateway In the menu bar of the Control Panel, select System > Time. Ê The Time configuration page opens. There are two ways to configure the system time of the Edge Gateway: by entering time and date manually (Manual option) automatically over internet, by using a time server (NTP synchronized option). In the gateway s state of delivery, the Manual option is preset. You can also select the time zone here. Figure 22: Time configuration page Setting time zone Use the Timezone drop-down list to select the local time zone in which you are operating the Edge Gateway. This is necessary for the correct interpretation of the set time (e.g. in respect to daylight saving time adjustment). Setting system time manually To set the system time manually, proceed as follows: Select Manual option. In the Time field, enter the time in the hh:mm:ss format. In the Date field, click on the calendar symbol and select your current date. Click Save changes. ð You have manually set the system time of the gateway.

Configuring system time of Edge Gateway 23/31 Setting system time by time server You can synchronize the gateway time with an external time server using the Network Time Protocol (NTP). Use the table under NTP synchronized to enter a time server or even a list of several time servers that you want to use. The gateway will use the first server in the list that delivers a valid response and that successfully synchronizes with the gateway. To add a time server, proceed as follows: Select NTP Synchronized option. Click Add NTP server button. Ê A dialog window for entering a NTP server is displayed: Figure 23: Add NTP Server dialog In the NTP server field, enter the address of the NTP server: Example: To add the timer server of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (National Metrology Institute of Germany), enter ptbtime1.ptb.de as address. Click Add button, then click Save changes. ð The system time is set via NTP and the Status entry shows which time server is being used: Synchronized to time server <IP address of time server> (<NTP address of time server>)

Configuring Wireless LAN interface of Edge Gateway 24/31 6 Configuring Wireless LAN interface of Edge Gateway If you want a wireless connection to the Edge Gateway (Wi-Fi according to IEEE ), you must first configure the WLAN/Wi-Fi interface of the gateway (in its state of delivery, its Wi-Fi option is disabled). The gateway offers two Wi-Fi modes: Access Point: The Edge Gateway allows other wireless devices (clients) to connect to the gateway via Wi-Fi. The gateway can act as a DHCP server for the clients. Client: The gateway connects itself as a Wi-Fi client to an Access Point of an already existing WLAN. To open the Wi-Fi configuration page, choose Network > WiFi from the menu of the Control Panel. Ê The Wi-Fi configuration page opens: Figure 24: Wi-Fi configuration page (default settings) Operating mode Access point If you want to use the Edge Gateway as access point, choose Access point option from the Mode drop-down list. Ê The page shows the parameters of the Access point mode: Figure 25: Wi-Fi operating mode: Access point

Configuring Wireless LAN interface of Edge Gateway 25/31 The following table describes the parameters of the access point mode. Parameter Name MAC address IP address Subnet mask Gateway Channel Country SSID Encryption Shared key DHCP Server Start IP address End IP address Description Shows the name of the WLAN/Wi-Fi interface (wlan0) Shows the MAC address of the WLAN/Wi-Fi interface Enter here the IP address that the Edge Gateway shall use in the WLAN/Wi-Fi network. Important: Take care that this address area is not used already by another interface of the gateway. Enter here the subnet mask that the Edge Gateway shall use in the WLAN/Wi-Fi network. Enter here the IP address of your network router. This enables the Edge Gateway to connect itself via WLAN to the internet outside your local network (e.g. to connect to a cloud application). Contact your local network administration for configuring the right parameters here. Select here the WLAN channel, respectively the radio frequency within the 2.4 GHz band. Select here the country in which you are operating the Edge Gateway. The country codes in the list are according to the ISO 3166 standard. For WLAN according to IEEE , there are different standards for using specific band widths throughout the world, therefore selecting a country here can effect the availability of certain channels. Enter here the SSID that the Edge Gateway shall use for its WLAN. You can use the preset SSID (hilscher-iotgw) here. Wi-Fi clients (e.g. mobile devices) intending to connect themselves to the Edge Gateway must use this SSID. Shows the encryption method used by the WLAN. Define here the password for the WLAN of the Edge Gateway. Wi-Fi clients (e.g. mobile devices) intending to connect themselves to the Edge Gateway must use this Shared key as password. Select this check box if the Edge Gateway should act as DHCP server within the WLAN. The DHCP server of the gateway will then assign IP addresses to the Wi-Fi clients (e.g. mobile devices) that try to connect to the gateway. The DHCP server will assign addresses that are within the range defined by the Start IP address and End IP address fields. Enter here the lowest IP address of the IP address range for the DHCP server if you have selected the DHCP server option. Enter here the highest IP address of the IP address range for the DHCP server if you have selected the DHCP server option. Table 2: Parameters of the Access point operating mode

If you uncheck the DHCP option, you must enter IP address, subnet mask and gateway address manually. If you have unchecked the DHCP option, you must enter here the IP address of the Edge Gateway. Make sure that this address is compatible with the address range that is used by the Access Point. Contact your local network administration for the right settings here. If you have unchecked the DHCP option, you must enter here the subnet mask of the Edge Gateway. Make sure that these subnet parameters are compatible with the subnet parameters that are used by the Access Point. Contact your local network administration for the right settings here. If you have unchecked the DHCP option, enter here the IP address of your network router. This enables the Edge Gateway to connect itself via WLAN to the internet outside your local network (e.g. to connect to a cloud application). Contact your local network administration for the right settings here. If you have unchecked the DHCP option, you may want to enter the IP addresses of the DNS servers of your network. Contact your local network administration for the right settings here. Shows the WLAN channel respectively the frequency that is used by the selected Access Point. Shows the SSID that is used by the selected Access Point. Terminates the connection to Access Point. Configure your address parameters (DHCP or manually configured address) in the Settings area.

Configuring Wireless LAN interface of Edge Gateway 28/31 In the table in the Client area, select the Access Point which you want to use for your Edge Gateway, then click Connect button.
