1 Quick Installation Steps ( V ) A. Hardware Installation 1. Connect a power adapter and connect IP Camera to PC or network switch with Ethernet cable. Note: Wireless IP Camera must be connected by the wire firstly, after being modified the IP address and set up wireless network parameter, then can be used in the wireless network. 2. Connecting IP camera through Router,Network Switch or Hub The Light of Network Connection turns orange within 5 seconds under the normal network situation after power on. It indicates that you have finished the physical connection of IP Camera successfully. ( Note: the network cable is ISO T568B standard) 4. Connect IP Camera with PC Ethernet cable The Light of Network Connection turns orange within 5 seconds under the normal network situation after power on. It indicates that you have finished the physical connection of IP Camera successfully. ( Note: the network cable is ISO T568A standard) 2/9

3 B. IP Searching and Assignment 1. Use SearchNVS to search or assign an IP address of IP CAMERA. The SearchNVS running path is as follows: A: Find the Search NVS in tool software directory from the attached CD. B: Install the NVSCenterV5.7, then follow below path to find SearchNVS: Start --- all programs --- NVS Center Search NVS. Note: Config is the select tool of language. MP6Player is the playback tool of local PC. NVSPlayer is the playback tool of network PC. 2. OS: Windows XP SP2 or other windows system. If the following Windows Security Alert popup, please click Unblock. 3. Click Search button to search IP Adress. As following: (Default: ) In the above SearchNVS software interface, it shows this computer has searched all IP Cameras in LAN. If there are many IP cameras in your LAN, you can know which camera is yours by the Device Name based on the exclusive device ID number. The initial Device Name was named in the factory as IPCam+ID number. Note: Local IP is your computer s IP address. Note: Please close firewall on your PC, If not, maybe you cannot search out the IP. 4. Please make sure IP Camera and your PC have the same Subnet. If not, please change IP Camera IP subnet or PC IP subnet accordingly. 3/9

After modified, click OK, then the IP camera will restart. search IP Camera again after 5~10 second. 4/9

5 C. Install ActiveX Control 1. Open one Internet Explorer, and input IP address of IP Camera, it will show Login interface. For example: (Note: If not have the same Subnet, you will not see the login interface.) Download ActiveX Click File, a new dialogue box appears, click Save to download OCX setup file. 2. Double-click the downloaded file xdview.exe to install it as follows: Note: Please first close current Internet Explorer before running the file xdview.exe, then click Install button,it will be installed the ActiveX and shows Install OK!. 3. If the installation failed, please check the security setting for the IE browser. i. IE Tools Internet Options Security Tab Custom Level Security Settings Download unsigned ActiveX controls Select Enable or Prompt. ii. IE Tools Internet Options Security Tab Custom Level Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe Select Enable or Prompt. Note: the easily method is all related installs ActiveX option to be set Enalbe 5/9

7 D. Login and Live Video 1. Open one Internet Explorer, and input IP address of IP Camera again, then please key in the default User name: admin, password: admin and click Submit in the following message box. Note: For the first time to view via IE, please allow to install the ActiveX control. If not, you will not see the video of the camera. 2.If the user name and password are input correctly, the following web page will be displayed. 8 E. Modify IP address and Set up wireless parameter 1. Open Network Select Enable WiFi Input different IP address of wire and wireless network Input SSID and Password (same with your wireless router) Press Save, IP camera will restart. As following: Note: Wire and Wireless network must not be in the same subnet. The wireless router s SSID and Password must be input. If no password, you can not input here. 2. Unplug the Ethernet cable and run the tool of SearchNVS. You will find two Device Name is the same, but the IP address is different. Then you have already set up successful. Now you can input wireless IP address and login. As following: 8/9

9 F. Factory Default 1. If the user name, password, and IP address are lost, please follow the following instructions. i. Find the green and yellow line from the back cable of IP camera, and connect together about 5~10s, then disconnect. The IP camera will restart. ii. It will take around 10 seconds to boot the IP Camera. iii. Reconnect the IP Camera with the default IP address ( user name (admin), and password (admin). G.
