4 1. OVERVIEW SPECIFICATION Page 4/18 CREATOR( CHINA) CRT-350 card is motor card reader and writer which can read/write IC/RFID/Magnetic card. The main features: 3 in 1: IC/RFID/Magnetic card reading/writing in one. LoCo&HiCo options and operate LoCo&HiCo at the same time. Multiple card transportation: from front and rear. Reject abnormal card and extra long card. Two anti-skimming ways: software and hardware. Multiple kind of shutter: G, E, D kind of shutter. E-shutter has anti-fishing & anti-skimming functions. Optional components: Power-down protection plate and PASM board (4 / 8 bits). Confirm to WOSA/XFS 2.0 and 3.0. SP provided. 13 6. Operation Mode SPECIFICATION Page 13/ Card Insert Operation Insert card from front side, the card will move to the rear of magnetic head position. Insert card from rear side, the card will move to the front of magnetic heard position. Without magnetic. head in the card reader, the card will move to the card stop position. 6.2 Magnetic Card Reading The host sends the magnetic card reading command, If the data read from the track is correct, data will be transmitted to host; If the data is not correct, the card will move one or more than one times between the front and rear magnetic position, and then store the data into RAM, and upload it to the host in the form required. If the data cannot be correctly read after the first reading, CRT-350 will automatically reread the card for several times (according to the times set in EEPROM: 3 times max), until the data is read correctly. When the re-upload command is sent by the host, CRT-350 will upload the data to the host from RAM with the required format. If the data is transmitted with binary mode, CRT-350 will not do any data verification. If the data is read by moving card from the rear to the front, CRT-350 will automatically reverse the sequence of data as they read from front to rear. 14 Page 14/ Magnetic Card Writing Ensure the type of card is available for CRT-350. Otherwise the unknown mistakes will happen. Card is moved to the front magnetic head position, and then write card by moving from front to rear. CRT-350 will check the data by reading again and return the result. The toleration of writing is 2 times. If the written data is of binary style, CRT-350 will verify the data in special way of reading and return result. 6.4 IC Card Reading Move card to IC card operation position successful and to operate the card (including automatic check card type) 6.5 RFID Card Reading RFID card is read in the front magnetic head position. 6.6 Abnormal Card Operations Abnormal card is the card different from the ISO standard cards. CRT-350 will reject abnormal card to the mouth. 3 type of abnormal card rejection: (1)Front eject: If send moving forward reset command, the card will be moved to the front holding card position. (2)Rear eject: If send moving backward reset command, the card will be moved to rear holding card position.
