General View Model No. Page 5/19 is manual card reader with controlled card latch, and performs the following features: Read magnetic stripe cards, read/write ISO standard RFID cards and IC cards Electric lock and release function. Card could be retrieved once latched if you pull with approximately over 25 N of force, and the card status is remained. RS232/USB interface Agile magnetic stripe reading method: Read when insert/withdraw; data uploaded passively /actively. Demo s installation documents are as the right hand side, double-click CTEST285_V1.0_EN_SETUP.EXE, installation will create a shortcut icon on your desk and program column. 3)Use demo to test Double Click to Install DEMO 1 Double click the demo program s shortcut on your desk 2 After demo is launched,click USB Interface to enter operation interface(as following) Double click the short cut Click here to enter USB user interface

No automatically lock: Card will not be locked when card attach card latch switch. 15 Page 15/19 6 Magnetic stripe card reading, please see the following: Magnetic card reading test: AUTO TEST for continuity test and Mag-Track Read for single test Magnetic card reading method: data valid when pull out card or data valid when insert the card Single reading: Click Mag-Track Read after pulling or inserting the card Notes: Data upload for single reading is passive, and needs to clear data before another reading Continuity Test: Setting number of test and click test Notes: Data upload for continuity test is active Keep the card in the machine at least 1 second after insertion

Maintenance Model No. Page 17/19 After long time usage, transportation mechanism would wear and tear, dust on sensor, magnetic head, IC card contact will influence the performance of module, hence it should be maintained on a constant basis. Detail instruction is as following: Use a cleaning card with alcohol to clean magnetic head by pulling and inserting in card reader for several times. Insert a cleaning card with alcohol and execute auto test IC card several times to clean IC card contact. Periodic maintenance: Maintaining the module every 2,000 cycle is recommended. ( One cycle: card in and card out ) Different components maintenance is as following: 1) IC card contact maintenance: Insert an IC card with alcohol; execute auto test IC card 2) Magnetic head maintenance: Insert/pulling a cleaning card with repetition. 7. Cautions For USB communication, start-up time is 6 seconds, please operate reader after 6 second Make sure power is disconnected before maintenance to prevent the device from damage. Oil will dramatically influence card reader s performance, please keep the device from oil absorbent adhesive. Active/passive data upload method for magnetic stripe card reading has been designed Setting magnetic stripe card reading method: Read when insertion or pulling Keep anything away from magnetic head and its cable. IC card insertions direction: when cards is inserted from the front,ic chip faces up,the end with IC chip Magnetic card insertion direction: Magnetic stripe face down and keep it to the right 8.
