4 Name of Parts/Function/Setting Front Panel Stye-1 (with headphone jack and volume knob, Pioneer Base Model) [1] [6] [4] [5] [3] [2] Style-2 (without headphone jack and volume knob) [1] [4] Disc Loading Tray [1] Open the loading tray by pressing the eject button, then place a CD or DVD disc onto the tray with the label facing up. Press the eject button or push the front part of tray to load the tray with the disc. An 80mm disc cannot be played when the drive is vertical mounted. This case remains even when an adapter is used. Eject Button [2] To unload /load the disc, press the eject button. [3] BUSY Indicator [3] This is lit green when the data on the disc is being accessed. [2] Forced Eject hole [4] Insert a stiff rod into the hole and push to eject the tray when the tray doesn t unload by pressing the Eject button. In the normal operation, the eject button should be used to unload the tray. Make certain power to the drive is turned off and wait more than one minute till disc rotation has stopped before accessing the forced eject hole. DVD-120 Revision 1.0 4

5 Name of Parts/Function/Setting Volume Control Knob [5] (Only for Style-1) This is the volume control knob for adjusting sound level on the headphone. When the knob is turned to the right, the headphone volume goes up. When it is turned to the left, the volume goes down. Head-Phone Jack [6] (Only for Style-1) Stereo mini jack for headphone. Set Volume Control Knob minimum position before inserting a stereo mini plug headphone jack. The audio output on the rear panel is active even when a jack is inserted into the headphone plug. Total length of the cable must be less than 18inches (46cm) in accordance to the ATA specifications.
