1 General Function Valve Packs Aleron Subsea Valve Packs were designed on the back of our growing demand for quality, reliable products for upgrading our ROV systems. These compact lightweight products can be tailored to the individual needs of each system and its operational intention with on / off solenoid valves, proportional or mixture of valve configurations to suit the Customers requirements, driven by a powerful, fully configurable digital control system, All of our valve packs are supplied with a laptop installed with Aleron Subsea software for optimum control. The Software, provide the control to the Board via RS232 / RS 485 (or Ethernet on the 10 station) which in turn has the ability to drive both on / off and proportional valves. 2 Software The valve packs can be run from a laptop similar to the one pictured below, this provides the user with three options of operation by either the standard mouse control, touchscreen or the joy pad (which is in the picture below) The software s main screen (shown below) gives access to all the setup and operation of the valve packs, along the bottom of this screen there are communication indicators which provide quick and accurate information on the status of the communication link.

3 The picture above shows valves 1 8 in a standard on / off configuration, if required the setup pages can be accessed from selecting the PCB Setup button on the far left of the screen. From the setup you can changed the button text and whether they are momentary or latching switches in the graphical user interface (GUI), they can also be set to proportional valves if the valve pack is configured for them. In the picture below you can see that valves 1 4 are set to momentary and valves 5 8 are latching, valves 1 4 are also set for proportional control.

4 Going back to the operational page after the setup and as shown in the above picture valves 1 4 are now proportional, to vary these the slider can be used or the +/-1% and +/-5% buttons under the slider. As mentioned above the valve pack can also be controlled via the joy pad controler, the picture above shows the button configuration of the controller with no valves associated with them. In the picture below it can be seen that any button can be set to operate any valve which makes it extreamly customisale and east to operate. This method of operation is perfect if the software is being run from a stand alone computer without touchscreen capability.

5 The above picture is the diagnostics information from the valve pack board where you can see the PCB voltages and current draws along with the valve output functions stats from the PCB.
