3 wrong.this book not only provides detailed guides on what else you can do with your Kindle, it also explains everything you need to know to configure your Kindle -- which is probably the most useful part for me because I'm not really tech savvy and it's a bit hard trying to keep up with all these different interfaces on different gadgets.one of the things I like about this book is that it has actual suggestions on what apps you can install on your Kindle to make it more than just a reading device, unlike some books which just list things and never really explain what or how to do it. This book has surprising little gems of witty and useful advice. For instance, my favorite is this part where the author tells you that gold-plated A/V cables are nothing but rip offs. Well, I have to stop raving now, otherwise I'll give away the entire book! This is just a very informative book. If you are new to Kindle Fire you need to read this. It is a good reference book. Wish I could have found this sooner. This can be a great help for anyone who has just purchased a kindle fire hd.thanks for the infojet I thought it was a pretty good manual but it has a couple of technical flaws in it specifically:under Charging it reads "For now, pay attention to the light by the power switch on your Kindle Fire HD. When it glows amber, it means it's charging. When it glows green, it's charged." The Kindle Fire HD, at least my 8.9" screen version does not have a light next to the power switch that illuminates when you're charging. I plugged it into a wall outlet in a dark room just to verify there's no charging light. I wish there was!under Hooking up to a Television it reads "If you have the full-size HDMI socket on your television, you'll need to get a cable that has a mini HDMI connector on one end and a full-sized connector on the others." The Kindle Fire HD uses a MICRO not mini HDMI connection.review by Zack Jones Super easy to understand especially for someone who is technically challenged!
