1 DisplayPort Active Optical Cable (UPO) OVERVIEW DisplayPort is a next-generation peripheral interface designed to transmit ultrahigh definition(uhd) digital signals between computers, displays, flat panels, projectors and other UHD devices. UNIVE UPO, DisplayPort1.3 Active Optical Cable(AOC), is the best solution available to deliver 4K/60Hz/4:4:4 content up to 50m without signal degradation for 4K UHD (3840 x 60Hz) resolution. It provides secure and dependable connection between any computer and monitor or devices with DisplayPort. A detachable DisplayPort connector is attached to the fiber optic plug and to source and display component. The feature enbles users to quickly install optical cable in tight in-wall spaces with ease. The connector also has latch to secure the port for utmost reliable connectivity. UPO uses the latest POF (Plastic Optical Fiber) technology, which is thinner, lighter, and more flexible than conventional AOC with GOF (Glass Optical Fiber) and copper cable. POF technology reduces the risk of EMI and RFI that can cause signal interruption or degradation. It is ideal for high interference environments such as data centers, operating rooms and manufacturing facilities where high resolution and reliable display are required. Also POF is much stronger than GOF and better suited for the environment with high vibration. With UPO AOC, users can take advantage of the latest features in DisplayPort1.3 technology including HDCP2.2 and HDR. UNIVE's patented passive align technology enables high reliability production of DisplayPort1.3 AOC. 5 APPLICATION GUDIE Cable Connection Installation at Field Pulling through conduit Connect main + Sub Docking plug Tighten the PIN 1. TX main (or RX main) pass through the conduit. 2. Connect TX sub to TX main and RX sub to RX main. 3. Press to dock and hold with PIN 4. Plug in TX connector labeled SOURCE to DisplayPort of source device such as PC. 5. Plug in RX connector labeled DISPLAY to DisplayPort of display device such as monitor. 6. Follow the same procedure for connecting a projector or other display. 5
