4 1 Summary PMAC3624 embedded power monitoring system server based on ARM9 platform. Using this product can set up a no more than 128 single loop meter monitoring system. PMAC3624 provides RS485 interface to directly connect with the meter and without any other additional converters. Through the Ethernet interface which can connect to the Ethernet directly. There is no need to install any software, just use the Google Chrome browser (also support IE8 or above the browser) to configure the device, inquiry the status or download records, etc. PMAC3624 can connect with all Pilot brand single loop power meter products. 2 Appearance & Installation Picture 1-1 diagram of the system 2.1 Dimension & Installation Unit:mm

6 Picture Terminal on the bottom The terminals of PMAC3624 are on the top and bottom. The power supply, Ethernet and USB interface are on the top, as picture The RS485 interface is on the bottom, as picture Power Supply PMAC3624 use switching power supply which support voltage range 85 ~ 275VAC/100 ~ 375VDC, definition of power supply terminals as shown in table Before wiring, please make sure power supply is OFF and the power switch on the device is also OFF. After Power ON, the power indication light on the device will ON, with hearing "Di" sound, it means the system with normal power. 7 a b g RS485 A RS485 B Shield Earth Attention: Only the first group-4 RS485 Ports are valid Ethernet Interface PMAC3624 provides standard RJ45 interface. After properly connected, PMAC3624 will display the net status as following: Table Ethernet Interface When PMAC3624 is properly connected, green LED light on the right side will ON. When the left side yellow LED light is flickering, it means PMAC3624 is sending and receiving data. When use net cable to connect PMAC3624 network interface, customer need to pay special attention to distinguish the cable is direct or crossover. The Ethernet interface of PMAC3624 do not support Auto-mdix function. We use direct cable to connect with switchboard, use crossover cable to PC. 8 2.3 Display & Key PMAC3624 shows the working status of the device through LED light. As picture Including: RS485 communication status, Ethernet communication status, system operation status. Each RS485 channel with 2 LED lights, Yellow flickering means sending data Green flickering means receiving data. Ethernet communication use green LED light, flickering means on normal communication. Power supply use green LED light, it s lighted when the power on normal. System running status use green LED light, it s flickering when normal running. Alarm use red LED light, it s lighted when the system with trouble. Picture The front display PMAC3624 provides 2 keys for on-site operation---power supply switch and reset key. As picture The reset key is hided which is used for reset system.

9 Picture Keys 3 System Configuration System configuration including serial port configuration, Ethernet port configuration, meter model and location configuration, and other parameters like time setting, user setting, data storage setting. Only administrator can modify the system configuration. For the first time using, connect PMAC3624 to PC by the default IP on the nameplate, make sure the IP of PC and device are in the same segment. After modify all the parameters, connect PMAC3624 to net. Or only modify the IP address, after connect into net, then modify the other parameters through the WEB. 3.1 Login Interface After connect PMAC3624 into net, through Google Chrome browser (also support IE8 or above the browser) to login system. login interface as picture Default user name admin,password pmda_24 User can revise it after login.

10 Picture Login Interface 3.2 Interface Layout After login, display interface as picture 3-2-1(assuming that system has configurated with meters). System interface is consisted by three parts: Menu (on left which can be hidden), Title and Status (on top which is fixed), Data display area (main window). Menu is divided into four root menu (as Table 3-2-1): Data View, Communication Check, Log View, Setting. Each root menu is divided into two or three submenu. 12 3.3 System Configuration Select the menu Setting System Options with left mouse key, enter into system configuration interface, as picture In this interface, we can modify the name of system, as Power Monitoring System PMAC3624, user can rewrite it according to self requirement. Also can update system and get the version of system. Picture System configuration interface 3.4Ethernet Configuration Select the menu Setting Network Setting with left mouse key, enter into Ethernet configuration interface, as picture In this interface, we can modify the IP and gateway of the two Ethernet interface. This setting is very important, it should be finished by professional workers, in order to ensure the network affectivity. The default IP can be found from the nameplate.

13 Picture Ethernet configuration interface 3.5 Serial Port Configuration Select the menu Setting Serial Port Config with left mouse key, enter into serial port configuration interface, as picture In this interface, user can modify the baud rate, data Bit, stop Bit and parity Bit of each port. In PMAC3624, only the COM1-COM4 are valid. The baud rate can be selected up to bps, the data Bit can be selected 8bits or 7bits, the stop Bit can be selected 1bit or 2bits, parity Bit can be selected NONE, EVEN or ODD. Normally default baud rate is 9600bps, data Bit is 8bits, stop Bit is 1bit, parity Bit is NONE.

14 Picture Serial port configuration interface 3.6 Meter Configuration Select the menu Setting Meters Config with left mouse key, enter into meter configuration interface, as picture In this interface, user can add/edit the meter, or delete the meter. Each serial port can connect maxim 32 meters. In the edit interface, user can select the number of port (COM1-COM4), select the model of the meter (eg: PMAC903, PMAC735,etc), edit the address of the meter (get the value from the meter), edit the information of location. Also can modify the range of the voltage, current and power which will be used in the meter board. Click OK to save the modification.

Administrator can modify the user s name and password, as picture Administrator with rights to edit and inquiry. The guests can only inquiry.

16 Picture User configuration interface Picture Edit user interface 3.8 Time setting Select the menu Setting Time Setting with left mouse key, enter into time setting interface, as picture In this interface, user can set the time and time zone, click Save to save the modification. Users can inquiry the time of device and browser. PMAC3624 will provide the time difference between the device and browser. Users can click Get time to refresh the

17 display, or click Set time to synchronize the browser and device time. Picture Time setting interface 3.9 Data Storage Setting Select the menu Setting Freeze Points with left mouse key, enter into data storage setting interface, as picture In this interface, there are three groups setting, the first group is defined by factory, save the energy value, user can not edit. The second group is defined to save the THD, which can be modified by user. The last group is defined the interval period of the storage, can choose 5\10\15\20\30\60min, default is 15min.

18 Picture Store setting interface 4 Real Time Monitoring PMAC3624 collects the real time data. User can inquiry all the data quickly by location or parameter (e.g.: voltage\current\power and so on). 4.1 Inquiry By Location Select the menu Data View Instant Data View By Location with left mouse key, enter into inquiry by location interface, as picture In this interface, user can inquiry the meter model, the communication status, and the measurement data of the loop. On the top of the interface, there are three dashboards which be used to display the three phase line voltage, phase voltage, current and active power, user can select the parameter for dashboard (The system will keep the last selection). User can inquiry the real time data (picture 4-1-1), energy data (picture 4-1-2), demand data (picture 4-1-3) from the table on the bottom of interface. If there is no parameter for the meter, it will display -. System will display the real time data of present value, max. and min. value, KWH value will be yesterday daily energy, today daily energy and the total consumption. Demand data will display the present demand, last demand, the max demand and the happened time. Click Select ; select the location to inquiry data, as picture

20 Picture Inquiry the demand by location interface Picture Select the location for inquiry real time data interface 4.2 Inquiry By Parameter Select the menu Data View Instant Data View By Parameters Type with left mouse key, enter into inquiry by parameter interface, as picture In this interface, we divide the parameter into 10 kinds: Basic, Load Current, Voltage, Active Power, Reactive Power, Apparent Power, Power Factor, Energy, Demand, and Harmonic. In each kind parameter interface, we can inquiry the data of all the meters.

21 Picture Inquiry real time data by parameter Picture Inquiry energy data by parameter in the real time data 5 History Data PMAC3624 saves the energy and harmonic (option) data according to the set period. The system provides 3 kinds of mode to inquiry the history data: A\ Users can inquiry the data by the location (refer to section 5.1) B\ Users can compare the data of several locations according to parameter (e.g. total KWH, total KVarH or others). (Refer to section 5.2) C\ Users can compare one kind of the data in different time of one location (refer to

22 section 5.3) 5.1 Inquiry By Location Select the menu Data View History Data View By Location with left mouse key, enter into inquiry by parameter interface, as picture In this interface, user can inquiry all the energy and harmonic data of one location (the location can be selected). The inquiry time can be selected as this day, this week, this month, this year or last day, last week, last month, last year(as picture 5-1-1). The system also provides the From-To mode to select the inquiry time (as picture 5-1-2).Select an appropriate time to inquiry the data, avoid the time is too long and cause the inquiry too slowly. 23 Picture Select the From-To time for inquiry the history data by location Picture Select the location for inquiry history data interface 5.2 Inquiry By Parameter Select the menu Data View History Data View By Parameters Type with left mouse key, enter into inquiry by parameter interface, as picture In this interface, users can compare the data of several locations according to one parameter (e.g. total KWH, total KVarH or others). Attention: Users can only select one parameter (total active energy, import active

24 energy, export active energy, total reactive energy, import reactive energy, export reactive energy, and total apparent energy) in one time. The inquiry time can be selected as this day, this week, this month, this year or last day, last week, last month, last year(as picture 5-2-1). The system also provides the From-To mode to select the inquiry time (as picture 5-2-2).Select an appropriate time to inquiry the data, avoid the time is too long and cause the inquiry too slowly. The compare time can be selected as last/this day, last/this week, last/this month, or last/this year (as picture 5-3-1). The system also provides the From-To mode to select

26 the compare time (as picture 5-3-2).Select an appropriate time to compare the data, avoid the time is too long and cause the inquiry too slowly. 27 Picture Select the location for compare history data interface 5.4 Export Data In the interface of all the sub menu of Data View History Data, we can find the function key Export for export the data, as picture Click the key Export, the system will export the data of the curve graph. As picture 5-4-2, the format of the file is CSV. In the lower left corner of the system interface will indicate file export completed. 28 Picture The format of the file 6 Additional Function Additional function is used for system debug or inquiry the log if some issue happened. 6.1 Communication Port Check Select the menu Communication Check Check On Port with left mouse key, enter into communication port check interface, as picture In this interface, user can click Refresh key for checking the port. If the red symbol X appeared, it means communication failed. User can debug the meter refer to section 6.2 Register Read, or check the communication wires.

29 Picture Communication port check 6.2 Register Read Select the menu Communication Check Read Register with left mouse key, enter into the register read interface, as picture In this interface, click the key Select near the location with left mouse key, and choose one meter to read. After choosing the subject, users only write the start register address and length, system can write the communication address and create the request frame automatically. Click the Send key, system will display the received frame and the register data if the communication is ok, as picture Attention: A\ Write the start register address according to the standard MODBUS. It means if the register address is in the protocol, here must be wrote 0. B\ If the communication is failed, must check the meter address, baud rate and the communication wires.

31 Picture Register read frame 6.3 Data Clean Select the menu Setting Data Clean with left mouse key, enter into data clear interface, as picture In this interface, user can delete the records of the selected meter and parameter by click the Clean Data key. Should enter user name and password again, only the administrator with this authority. Picture Data clean

32 Picture Data clean confirm 6.4 Alarm If there are some meters communication failed, there will be 5 alarms in the upper right Conner of the window, it means there are 5 meters communications failed. Click the red area can open the communication status window as picture 6-4-2, in this interface, user can get more information.
