6 OPTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS The Walk-and-Talk Interactive Panel is a remote control-enabled interactive system using your computer, a projector, and any size projection screen. You can point, click, and annotate on anything that you can project. Press Print on the remote control to send a digital snapshot to the default printer connected to your computer. Press Save on the remote control to save the digital snapshot as a file on your computer, just as a digital image from a camera would be. Walk-and-Talk enables you to operate your computer from the interactive panel using the stylus, or to roam freely about the room and operate your computer using the remote control touch pad and buttons. For details about using the remote control buttons, refer to the on-line Walk-and-Talk User Guide. The interactive panel comes with its own 6-foot VGA-in cable and 15-foot USB cable for connection to your computer. It also includes a 12-inch VGA-out cable for quick connection to your projector s video cable. Alternatively, you can connect a projector s video cable directly to the interactive panel. The infrared remote control enables you move about the room and control your computer from anywhere within a 40-foot radius of the remote control receiver. The remote control receiver has a 6-foot USB cable that connects to your computer s second USB port. The receiver requires line-of-sight access to the remote control. You can fasten the receiver to the front of a podium, place it on a desktop, or you can mount it to a wall or ceiling. For large auditoriums, you can add additional remote control receivers or extend the receiver s USB cable so you can position the receiver in an optimum location for added mobility while using the remote control. Refer to Extending Remote Control Reception on page 8. The battery-operated stylus has two functions: it enables you to control your computer cursor so you can operate your computer from the interactive panel, and you can use it to mark-up the projected computer image, adding notes or highlighting information during your presentation. Store the stylus either in the pen holder along side the interactive panel or tuck it into the clip at the back of the panel. Refer to Operating your Interactive Panel on page 23 for additional information. 4 Overview
