2 Do not attempt to install or use Luminaire until you have read and understand this guide and safety labels. Luminaires must be installed by a qualified professional in accordance with all national and local electrical and construction codes and regulations. Ensure that main power supply is OFF before installing or wiring luminaire(s). Do not exceed specified voltage and current input. Do not use luminaires with a damaged lens, body, or cable. Not heeding cautions may result in a hazardous situation which can cause equipment and property damage, personal injury, or death. CAUTION Do not exceed the specified voltage and current input. Do not exceed the maximum number of specified fixtures in a light run. Doing so will result in a current overload. GVA Luminaires have no serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open the units. Do not hot swap! Ensure power supply is off before connecting or disconnecting fixtures. Do not stare into beam or view directly with optical instruments. Unauthorized feild repairs will void warranty. 1. MOUNTING BRACKET INSTALLATION Use mounting hardware suitable for the mounting surface. Use of innappropriate hardware may result in dismounting of the bracket and can result in equipment damage, injuries, or death Install mounting bracket in desired location using either one or two M6 (OR 1/4in) bolts or screws suitable for the mounting surface. See "MOUNTING HOLE TEMPLATE" to mark holes prior to installation, if necessary. 3 2. FIXTURE & VISOR/SNOOT INSTALLATION 2.1. Install the fixture and visor or snoot accessories (if applicable) using the provided hardware. REQUIRED HARDWARE: 2 x M6 Disclock Washer (supplied) LIRA VISOR OR LIRA SNOOT (optional) M6 DISCLOCK WASHER 2 x M6x8mm Screw OR 2 x M6x10 Screw (supplied) M6 SCREW 3. PDB-ELV CONNECTIONS Ensure that line power is disconnected before making connections to PDB-ELV Make wire connections to PDB-ELV. NOTE: Terminate return DMX output + and - with 120 OHM resistor. 4 4. DMX FIXTURE CONNECTIONS Ensure power supply is turned OFF before making any connections. Connecting the luminaire while the power is turned ON may result in equipment damage Make connections to junction boxes and to the luminaires. NOTE: LIRA fixtures 12~24VDC power conductors should be connected in parallel. DMX Common to be also connected in parallel. NOTE: DMX I/O must be connected in series. NOTE: Total load shall not exceed power rating of PDB-ELV and should be under 100W to remain Class 2. NOTE: Follow labels & markings on terminal blocks & cables for correct polarity. TYPICAL SYSTEM DIAGRAM: NOTE: Fixture configuration and length of leader cables and jumper cables directly affects the maximum number of fixtures allowed in a single run. Connecting the luminaire while the power is turned ON may result in equipment damage Connect Class 2, 12~24VDC output to power conductors of LIRA luminaire : red(+), black(-). Connect DMX I/O to DMX conductors of LIRA luminaire (output optional). NOTE: LIRA Luminaires require 12VDC or 24VDC Class 2 or limited to 25A Power Supply with Class 2 outputs. If PSU is other than Class 2, provisions must be made to create Class 2 outputs.
