48 2.1 ALUMINIUM PROFILES The Multiline Alu 16 is characterized by a variety of combinations and excellent heat dissipation. There are four covers that are optionally available in clear or milky. By using the coextruded covers for recessed mounting the Multiline Alu 16 can perfectly be incorporated into furniture and POS elements - the cut edges are concealed by the contrasting wing. As another option, the MULTIline profile can be used as a mounting profile for the LineProfil 12 and LineProfil 14, see page 64/65. These profiles made of PMMA can create a homogeneous and linear light. 48

50 2.1 ALUMINIUM PROFILES The aluminum profile Optic Line Alu 12 has an asymmetric slide rail that can be inserted in four positions into the profile. In combination with a special lens cover five different beam angle can be realized. Due to this specific lighting accents can be set and light can be directed exactly where it is needed - whether narrow 20 beam angle or wide beamt 90 light output. The aluminum profile also has an excellent heat dissipation, so that LED Modules with up to 19.2 W/m can be used. 50

81 MODULES SAFETY STANDARDS FOR LED CONVERTER Since 2006 general binding safety standards for LED converters are regulated in the standard EN In many cases, power supplies from the information technology (according to EN 60950) so called IT power supplies, are still used for LED applications. A comprehensive user safety is therefore not given. Rather, in this applications LED converter should be used that meet the safety standard EN ACCESSOIRES CONVERTER CONTROLS PROFILES This standard covers both the user protection against electric shock and the thermal behavior of the LED converter in case of malfunction. EN User safety Protection against electric shock is ensured through the use of safety extra low voltage (SELV / SELV equivalent). Therefor, LED modules and LED lights can be touched without any risk. Protection mechanisms against over voltage, overload, short circuit and overheating are built into our LED converters - so that we achieve a high level of safety, reliability and a long life time. EN For an optimized life time In addition to EN , the standard EN sets requirements for the performance of electronic control gear for LED modules. This standard specifies that the operating parameters of the LED modules are ensured and the lifetime of the modules is optimized. In order to serve international customers and markets, of course we also provide UL certified LED converter.
