4 liquids are pumped into the mixing tank through airproof connections which prevent escape of odours. The device must be connected to the water supply. The device prepares formalin mixtures in the desired mixing ratio within the airproof tank. The prepared formalin mixture can be either dispensed at a tap at the device or transferred to a remote working station through pressure lines. Electronic and mechanical safety precautions prevent liquids within the tank from overflowing. The control panel is shown in picture 1. The device can be operated through the userfriendly menu at the control panel. The current state of the device as well as all performed actions, remaining liquid amount in the tank, formalin content, preparing a mixture, mixing, date and hour can be read on the screen at any time. The microprocessor in the device enables you to control all actions through one single surface. The last settings can be saved and the device returns automatically to the last settings after rebooting the device, i.e. the device always recalls the last settings till they have been changed manually through the control panel. The control panel at the front side of the device has a LCD display with a numeric keyboard and LED lights. The red LED light indicates an alarm or warning state. The user must then observe the instructions on the screen. The green LED light indicates that the device is ready for use. The mixing ratio can be set through the menu. The user can mix a 3.7% standard solution or a buffered solution. The user can also prepare a customized solution with variable amounts of formalin, water and a buffer solution in 1-liter-steps. On the bottom left on the screen, there is an indicator which shows the amount of formalin mixture in the tank. The formalin content is indicated in the range of 0.0% to 9.9%. You must use distilled water or drinking water to be able to measure the formalin content. The remaining mixture in the tank is mixed automatically 6 times a day (02:00 am, 05:00 am, 08:30 am, 12:30 pm, 06:00 pm, 11:00 pm) for 15 minutes. The mixing process can also be started manually. The remaining formalin mixture is always mixed for 15 minutes. During the mixing process, a corresponding notification will be shown on the screen. The mixing process stops automatically after 15 minutes. However, the user can manually stop this process at any time through the menu. Small amounts of the mixture, e.g. 20 ml, can be dispensed with the optional dispenser system at the device. The desired amount can be dispensed in 1-ml-steps. Acoustic signals, date and time can be changed trough the menu. Instruction Manual Fully Automated Formalin Mixing and Dispensing Station Page 4 from 20
