4 ANTISTATIC FLOOR CLEANER Antistatic Floor Cleaner is specially designed liquid cleaner for the purpose of cleaning the Dissipative ESD mats & can also be used for the purpose of cleaning ordinary PVC mats. It revamps the Static dissipative properties of the ESD - mats to meet the demands of the Static Control Measures in electronic and clean room applications & imparts static dissipative properties to ordinary PVC mats for the defined time intervals. Washing with A/S Floor Cleaner ensures long life of ESD mats while washing with ordinary detergents deteriorates the static dissipate properties by increasing the surface resistivity in the long run. It contains No ionic contaminants. Surface resistance of cleaned surface is 10^9 to 10^11 ohms/sq. Shelf life is 6 months to one year from the date of manufacturing.it may be diluted using hot clean water upto 10 times the volume of the concentrate depending upon the dirt on the floor and static properties required. The diluted solution to be used as a floor cleaning agent with normal floor cleaning methods. Best results are obtained when hot water at 50 degree - 60 degree is used for diluting and cleaning

5 WRIST STRAP AND FOOTWEAR TESTER Wrist straps are the most important & fundamental measure in implementing ESD Control as it helps to ground the personnel thereby allowing the Static Charges to be dissipated to the ground. But it is also important that the strap must be electrically safe to the user thereby giving him protection from shock hazard. For ESD protection of Static sensitive devices the maximum Strap resistance should not be more than 10 Mega Ohms on the other hand the path to ground should have at least 1 Mega Ohm resistance as a protection to the user of Wrist Strap from dangerous levels of current flow. ESD Footwear should have resistance below 100M ohms. The Wrist Strap and Footwear tester checks these parameters under actual operating conditions. It clearly indicates whether or not the resistance of the strap / Footwear including the wearer is atleast 800 k ohms and not more than 10 meg ohms incase of Wrist Strap & 100M ohms in case of Footwear. The instrument is provided with a low battery indication, which comes on when the battery voltage drops 7 volts and a selector switch to select Wrist Strap / Footwear.

6 WRIST STRAP & FOOTWEAR TESTER OPERATION : Select the position of the selector switch according to your requirement. 1. For Wrist Strap Testing It comes on automatically when the metal plate is pressed by inserting the banana plug into the socket or by connecting the wrist strap to the instrument and then pressing gently on the meta plate, the operator can check whether the resistance of the wrist strap system falls within the acceptable range in which case the green light ( Pass ) comes ON. 2. For Footwear Testing for footwear Testing wear your A/S Footwear in a normal way. Connect a conducting plate to the socket provided on the tester stand on the conducting plate and press the metal plate on the tester by your finger. It shows automatically whether the resistance of your A/S Footwear is within the range of 800K to 100M by means of RED/ GREEN Leds SPECIFICATION : - 1. 15 STATIC CHARGE METER Static Charge Meter is a non - contact portable analog Instrument made to sense and measure tribo electric charges produced on insulating objects. Zeroing is done by a knob located on the instrument. It works on a standard 9 volt battery. The power ON switch with indicator, analog dial & the actuator button is provided on the top plate of the meter. The charge sensor plate is provided on the front side of the meter. Meter is housed in a powder coated, non-static, metallic enclosure. Operation: Power ON the meter with a slide switch. Adjust the zero on the dial with the use of zeroing knob. Hold the meter near the charged object in such a manner that sensor plate is facing the charged object. Adjust the distance between the sensor plate & the charged object so that it is approximately 5cms. The analog dial will show deflection. If the reading is between 0 to +/- 5, this is the charge detected in Kvolts. If the deflection is beyond +/-5, the distance between sensor plate & the charged object needs to be increased so that the deflection is between 0 & +/-5. 19 I O N I Z E R Bench Type Ionizer is a small footprint portable instrument which can be used to neutralize static charges confined to a small area. This Instrument helps in directly neutralizing static charges which can not be effectively grounded. The Instrument works on the principle of corona discharge. Specially made discharge electrodes generate pulses of positive and negatively charged ions which are then, propelled out with the help of a blower. These positive and negative ions neutralize the opposite charges prevailing in a confined area to which these are directed.
