18 BALOGH Distributed by TURCK Power Supplies The power supplies, type IM , are designed to power direct current devices, especially switching and monitoring devices of the TURCK series interface modul, multimodul and multisafe, as well as light barriers and sensors. The power supply provides an output voltage of 24 VDC and an output current of 1.4 A. The cyclic overload protection is activated if the current is higher than 1.6 A. The device provides safety extra-low voltage (SELV) according t EN 60950, protection class II. The device is approved by UL and CSA. If the front panel LED illuminates green, the connected consumers are provided with power. The "power good" relay is energized of the output voltage is higher than 21 V. If the voltage drops below this value, the relay is de-energized and the LED illuminates red. The AC voltage inputs may only be used alternatively and not for prime power distribution. During operation the removable terminal blocks must be plugged in. When installing the device, please ensure that heat can dissipate easily.
