3 1.0 OVERVIEW Thanks for purchasing this product. Please check the contents of the packing. It contains: The TZM 423 unit The present user manual The AC adapter code ADM 001 The unit TZM 423 is a matrix with four inputs and two indipendent outputs suited for VGA/XGA signals plus combined audio. TZM 423 can manage YUV, RGBS or RGBHsVs signals as well. May be very useful when,driving a main output, it's necessary to keep a second source under monitoring control or when it's needed to drive 2 destinations by 2 different signals. 3

5 2.0 Power TZM 423 is powered only by the AC adapter code ADM 001 equipped with the unit. Servicing must be made by Qualified personnel The adapter must be fitted in a Vac / 50Hz socket. 5

6 3.0 SETTINGS TZM 423 have not any setting inside. 4.0 INSTALLATION a) Be sure that all the units to be installed are in OFF state. b) Connect the sources and destination either video and audio as illustrated. ATTENTION The outputs video VGA/XGA are suited to drive destination up to 20 mt. For longer distances please use a booster type INBOX/4. 7 5.0 LOCAL COMMAND The two outputs of TZM 423 may be controlled one by one by keyboard on front panel. The lighting up of the leds indicates which source is routed on the output. At the power-on the source N 1 is automatically routed on both outputs. 7

8 6.0 COMMAND BY DRY CONTACTS AND TALLY By 4+4 external dry contacts connected to DB25 p.f.remote it's possible to command the routing on the outputs. 9 7.0 AUXILIARY FUNCTIONS The auxiliary MUTE function can be activated one by one on the outputs. Function is actvated by a dry contact connected to DB25 p.f. REMOTE. Function stays active until the the relative contact is closed to GND (pin 25). With MUTE active RGB signals are disabled. ATTENTION AUTOSEQUENCING function is called only by RS 232. 10 8.0 HOST CONTROL TZM 423 may be controlled in all its functions by host computer sending an hexadecimal character. Transmission is RS 232, 8 bits 1 stop bit, no parity.baud rate is Character must be sent to pin #12 of connector DB 25p.f. REMOTE. GND is pin #25. In the table to side are shown the codes sent by host and the relative function on TZM 423. AUTOSEQUENCING and MUTE are removed repeating the command or sending the code of another command. AUTOSEQUENCING and MUTE are removed pressing a pushbutton on front panel. In this case will be routed the input relative to the pushbutton pressed.
