1 13.1 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT General Information In the previous chapters we have introduced beside cleanroom garments a multitude of consumables in more detail. In this chapter we will look into some technical products based around the subject of contamination control and prevention. 2 13.2 PARTICLE COUNTERS MET ONE MODEL 227 In a cleanroom it is often necessary to conduct particle measurements in inaccessible locations. For this task large units are not portable enough and floor mounted sensors are used for permanent monitoring of the cleanroom at particular places and can t be applied flexibly. With the two-channel-laser-particle counter Met One Model 227 A + B an established handy and flexible particle counter with a rechargeable battery is available. This unit can take quick and uncomplicated particle measurements in places that are not easily accessible. 3 13.3 PARTICLE COUNTER LIGHTHOUSE MODEL HH3016 / HH5016 The light and very ergonomic model HH3016 / HH5016 is equipped with the latest laser and optics technologies. This leads to a high availability and long life expectancy for the equipment. The model HH3016 / HH5016 shows 6 particle size channels at the same time (Model 3016 from 0.3 µm / model 5016 from 0.5 µm) and presents the particle data cumulatively as well as differentially. The values for relative humidity and temperature are also displayed on the easily readable 9.25 cm touch screen display. The exchangeable rechargeable Li-ion battery makes sure that the equipment is permanently available. The rechargeable battery can be replaced quickly and simply without any effort. 4 13.4 PARTICLE COUNTER LIGHTHOUSE MODEL SOLAIR 3100 / 5100 The particle counter Solair 3100/ 5100 uses the latest technologies in optics and electronics for a long, reliable operation. It has a detection limit of 0.3 µm (0.5 µm) with a sample air volume of 1.0 ft 3 / min (28.3 l /min) and a dynamic range of up to > 10 µm. Because of the data input directly at the 14.5 cm large colour touch screen the Solar 3100/5100 is easy to use and to configure. Up to 3000 measurement data from 6 particle size channels and up to 4 analogue sensors are detected. All data can be either reliably and quickly transferred onto a PC or printed with a thermal printer. The Solar 3100/5100 can be used either as a single machine, in connection with monitoring systems or as measuring network manifold. 5 13.5 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NEBULISERS Overview / Application Fogging machine to visualize the air stream in cleanrooms and process equipment To prove the functioning of cleanrooms and clean work places it is essential to visualise the streaming ratio in detail. For the production of cleanroom appropriate fog two machines with different functionality are available. With these machines air streaming can be easily visualised for the total height of the room and for a distance of at least 3 m. On the other hand air streaming in smallest areas of production equipment (for example dead water- or pooling region) can be made visual. Application streaming visualization in turbulent streamed rooms even at smallest streaming velocity (even below 0.2 m /s) remnants free streaming analysis in processing and manufacturing regions and in cleanroom equipment visualisation in smallest areas (for example dead water- or pooling regions) proof of turbulences triggered by people, convection and cleanroom equipment

6 13.6 PRODUCT INFORMATION N 2 -FOG GENERATOR The N 2 -fog generator makes the visualisation of laminar air flow in laminar as well as in turbulent streamed regions possible. With the N 2 -fog generator liquid cold gas and water vapour is used for the fog production. The so produced fog distinguishes itself with a very small droplet spectrum, which makes the streaming visualization possible even in turbulent streamed rooms and with smallest streaming velocity (even below 0.2 m /s). 7 13.7 PRODUCT INFORMATION HANDY-DI-FOG This portable equipment achieves in a simple way the remnants free streaming analysis of the processing and manufacturing areas. With the fog generator Handy-DI-Fog pure water (DI water) is dispersed by using ultrasound. The so produced fog distinguishes itself with a constant small droplet spectrum, which makes an especially good streaming visualization in the laminar area possible. 8 13.8 PRODUCT INFORMATION KLERCIDE FOGGING SYSTEM dastex offers a simple but compact nebulisation system to disinfect a cleanroom fast and easy with a Klercide-CR-Biocide. No main supply is necessary as a compressed air supply with a filter of 0.2 µm is sufficient. The installation should be carried out on the ceiling. A room of 100 m 3 can be operated by one unit with a maximum fill quantity of 5 litres. To guarantee problem free cleaning and disinfection the spray system has been manufactured from high grade stainless steel. The outside dimensions are approximately 250 x 230 x 508 mm (w x d x h). The Klercide fogging system can be used together with various biocides from the Klercide series (A, B, C, D). The assembly is fast and simple, as only the canister with the chosen biocide will be placed and connected to the Klercide fogging system. 9 STERILISABLE CLEANROOM APPROPRIATE TOOLS The pharmaceutical industry places very high demands on the materials which are used in manufacturing areas. With the support of the pharmaceutical industry experiments have been conducted for the production of corrosion free tools made from various materials and their behaviour before and after autoclaving. Based on analyses of surface effects from the German Association for Materials Research and Testing Stuttgart, the production of corrosion free tools was made possible using up to date production and complimenting surface treatment methods. CCI cleanroom tools are very easy to clean and fulfil the demands of current tool manufacturing standards. Another important point is the resistance against disinfection products in all forms, base, H2O2 and most acids. This product is completed with a tool box, which simplifies the sterilisation process, as the tools do not have to be taken out of the box or be autoclaved one by one. The configuration of the tool box can be adapted individually on the tool assembly. 11 13.11 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE GALOMAT The worldwide (135 countries) patented shoe shrink wrap automat GaloMat was developed specifically for use in cleanrooms, laboratories, hospitals and similar areas, in which hygiene and cleanliness is very important. Often contamination which sticks to shoe soles of employees, visitors or customers and get carried into sensitive areas is underestimated. With the shoe shrink wrap automat GaloMat the dressing of overshoes is easy, fast, comfortable and economical. The disposal of the shrink wrapping foils can be done via the normal recycling system.
