9 VideoMASTER TM 32-port VideoSwitch Module (optional) VideoSwitch modules allow for increased flexibility of video input signals to the FRC The 32-port model provides the FRC-5100 with video input connections for up to 32 composite or 16 S-video signals, catering to installations with the following requirements: o Single video signal viewed per display device o Maximum of 32 video input signals available for selection and display anywhere on the entire display wall Input channels per module 32 Composite (or 16 S-video) Switch size 32 x 32 Max. modules per system 1 Input connector type BNC Bandwidth 25MHz (-3dB) Crosstalk -80dB at 20kHz VIM/VideoSwitch Performance: Each VIM or VideoSwitch module is internally connected to one or more DisplayMASTER TM modules via a dedicated high-speed video bus. Each VIM provides up to 4 video signals and each VideoSwitch provides up to 16 or 32 video signals. Each DisplayMASTER TM graphics adapter is capable of processing a single video signal. If more than one video window is opened on a single display device, the signal of the most recently selected video window will be processed and the other video windows on that display will be blanked out. Note: optional VideoMAX modules provide a solution for displaying multiple videos on a given display device. VIM configuration: The FRC-5100 ships with one VIM for every installed DisplayMASTER TM module. Unless specified otherwise, only a single VIM will be installed and connected to all installed DisplayMASTER TM modules. The Factory Customization Form allows for other VIM configurations, including all VIMs installed and each one connected to a different DisplayMASTER TM module or multiple VIMs with each one connected to multiple DisplayMASTER TM modules. Each DisplayMASTER TM module can only be connected to a single VIM and can only display video sources from its connected VIM. VideoSwitch configuration: If one or more VideoSwitch modules are ordered with an FRC-5100, they will be installed and connected to all DisplayMASTER TM modules. Since this is the same connector that is used for the VIMs, no VIMs will be installed, but they will be shipped with the controller in case they are required for future use. 10 VideoMAX TM Multiple Video Input Module (optional) VideoMAX modules allow for maximum flexibility of video input signals to the FRC They provide the FRC-5100 with video input connections for up to 18 video signals, with 9 of these signals viewable at any given time. 11 VideoMAX Performance: The optional VideoMAX module allows multiple video input sources to be displayed on a single display device. Each VideoMAX module is internally connected to one or more DisplayMASTER modules via a dedicated high-speed video bus and allows for the display of up to 9 composite or S-video input sources simultaneously on one or more displays. Each VideoMAX module provides connections for up to 18 video input sources. The 18 connected sources are grouped into 9 pairs and one source from each pair can be processed at any given time. Each pair can be comprised of 2 composite sources or 1 composite and 1 S-video source. The VideoMAX module combines these input sources before transfer across the video bus, allowing for up to 9 video input sources to be displayed (even overlapped PIP) on a single display device. Since each DisplayMASTER graphics adapter is capable of processing only a single video signal, any device displaying video from a VideoMAX module can not simultaneously display video sources from other VideoMAX, VIM or VideoSwitch modules. If video windows from more than one video input device are opened on a single display device the video windows of the most recently selected video input device will be VideoMAX Configuration: VideoMAX modules come standard with the following internal ribbon cables: 2-to-6: 1 or 2 VideoMAX to up to 6 DisplayMASTER modules 4-to-6: 3 or 4 VideoMAX to up to 6 DisplayMASTER modules 4-to-1: Up to 4 VideoMAX to a single DisplayMASTER module The 4-to-1 cable allows up to 4 VideoMAX modules to be connected to each DisplayMASTER module, making it is possible to view 36 videos on a 4-channel display wall (each display showing 9 video sources from a different VideoMAX module), and up to 108 videos on a 12-channel display wall. With this setup, placement of video input sources would be restricted to the VideoMAX s connected DisplayMASTER modules. More flexible positioning and sizing of video input sources would be accomplished with the 2-to-6 or 4-to-6 ribbon cables which make all connected video input sources available to all display devices (up to 24). The VideoMAX module uses a different DisplayMASTER TM connection than the VIMs and VideoSwitch modules. Therefore, it is possible to have both VideoMAX modules and VIM/VideoSwitch modules simultaneously connected to each DisplayMASTER module.

With support for up to 8 modules, the FRC-5100 is capable of displaying a maximum of 16 RGB sources in freely moveable and scaleable windows anywhere on the tiled display wall.
