Packing and Accessories PAB_40B barrier packing is use foam and carton, below parts are attached in the package: 4 pcs Φ16 X 150 mm setscrew; 2 pcs mould weight At least 1 pc spare spring; 1 pc scaleboard for boom fixing; 4 pcs M8 X 60 mm hexangular screw for assembling the boom; 1 pc boom bracket (option); 4 pcs Φ6 X 40 mm setscrew for assembling the bracket (option); 2 pcs remote Radio Emitters (option); 2. Adjust the boom length In the factory, boom length and running parameters have been adjusted well according to the boom length of customer requirements. If you need re-adjust the boom length, must first adjust the spring balance and set the parameters according to the following steps. 1) Cut boom to desired length and then assembled. 2) Power-off state, select the appropriate number of springs and adjust the spring tightness so that the boom can maintain static balance.at 45 degrees. 3) Set parameters: power state, control the barrier rises and falls repeatedly, controller will automatically adjust the parameter values to optimal successively. At first, the boom movement may not be stable because of inappropriate parameter values, with the rises and falls times increasing, the boom movement will be gradually smooth. The parameters have been automatically adjusts well when both Up-adjust and Down-adjust LED indicator goes out. 5. Function and utilization 1) Able to go up (down) when the barrier boom is moving down (up) without stop process. Three ways to control the barrier movement: Up and Down inputs; Remote control; RS485 serial command 2) Barrier boom arm detect obstructer when moving down, the barrier boom will go back to vertical position. Note: This function dose not work when the angle is <9 both in vertical and horizontal position. 3) If 1# vehicle detector input trigged when barrier boom moving down, the barrier boom will go back to vertical position until 1# vehicle detector input return to normal status.

4 Note: This function dose not work when barrier boom horizontal angle is <9. 4) If receive the infrared control signal when barrier boom moving down, the barrier boom will go back to vertical position, the barrier boom will remain in this position until receive the infrared control signal and 1# vehicle detector both return to normal status. Note 1: The barrier only can be infrared controlled down after 1# vehicle detector had been trigged; Note 2: The infrared control function doses not work when barrier boom horizontal angle is <9. 5) When up input remain in 0 status (0~0.3V, or shorted) or RS485 command set in Go through mode, the barrier boom will ignore all down command, unless the 0 status changed. 6) Traffic light control: When barrier boom go up more than 2/3, the relay shorted, the port connected to the green light output will be AC 220V, the port connected to the red light will no output; When barrier boom go down more than 1/3, the green light will no output, and the red light output will be AC 220V. 7) Vehicle detector synchronous output: Relay short when 1# vehicle detector trigged, and open when release. 8) RS485 serial command: Semi-duplex RS485 interface, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no checksum, 9600bps, ASCII decimal code. 9) Automatically check the operation status and report by different kinds of failure. List of failure code as below: E1---Pulse angle meter or motor failure; E3--- up input failure, input remains more than 10 s regarding as fail; E4--- down input failure, input remains more than 10 s regarding as fail; E5---1# vehicle detector input failure, input remain more than 10 s regarding as fail; E6---Infrared input failure, input remain more than 10 s regarding as fail; E7---Go through mode 10) Parameter set up, 2 LED display: SET, +,-. In normal condition + used for manually up control, - used for manually down control, LED display shows the movement status (Vertical shows 0, horizontal shows around 96 ) or the failure code. Program set up: Switch on SET first and + to start the program set up, the first default function will be 1 (F1); Select function: In the status of 1, every time you switch on SET, the No. will add 1, from 1 to 9 and cycling. Parameter set up: Select the function, and switch on + or - to edit within 10s. Switch on SET to save and return to functional select status. Exit: Switch on SET and - to exit, or no input for more than 30s will exit automatically. Function code: F1--- UP optimize; F2--- Down optimize; F3---Obstructer reflect threshold value, 12~99, the response will as slower as the no. increase, and shut down in 99. (Default: 20) F4---Address: 1~99. (Default: 1) 11) Half power, frozen proofing: Barrier remain in half power status when no up and down requirements, the motor will keep in the temperature of 55 C, the lubricant will not frozen and keep working even in the frozen environment.

5 12) Manual barrier boom lock: Barrier boom can be locked in any position between horizontal and vertical. Manually locked the barrier boom at the back of motor, the lock status will remain until unlock manually. 13) Manually control the barrier boom when power off: When no power input, you can manually rotate the motor to control up and down. Warning: Not allowed to use the function when power on, may hurt you hand and damage the motor. 5. Parameter Power: AC 220V, 50Hz, Maximum current 0.5A Temperature: -25 C~55 C Humidity:10~95% RH The housing use 2 mm cold rolled sheet, anti UV light and static plating, dustproof and waterproof level is IP54 Barrier boom: 45 mm X 100 mm, Aluminum alloy eight-square pole, Maximum length is 5.5 m (Do not including the tape) Speed: 2s, 3s, 4s Concreted decelerating torque motor, power 70W, allow to work in a long time Barrier can be either assembled on left or right side Multi-spring balance: Barrier boom will keep balance in 30~45, >45 will move up automatically, <30 will move down automatically Intellectualized control unit: Intel 80C51 micro processor, 40Mhz basic frequency, silicon controlled motor, multiplexing 0~5V input, multi relay output; RS485 interface, WatchDog shut down protect. Vehicle detector synchronous output: Relay output, maximum current 0.5A when AC 220V, 1A when DC 12V. RS485 interface: Semi-duplex RS485 interface, switch time 10 ms, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no checksum, 9600 bps, ASCII decimal code.
