4 RIGOL Safety Requirement General Safety Summary Please review the following safety precautions carefully before putting the instrument into operation so as to avoid any personal injuries or damages to the instrument and any product connected to it. To prevent potential hazards, please use the instrument only specified by this manual. Use Proper Power Cord. Only the power cord designed for the instrument and authorized by local country could be used. Ground The Instrument. The instrument is grounded through the Protective Earth lead of the power cord. To avoid electric shock, it is essential to connect the earth terminal of power cord to the Protective Earth terminal before any inputs or outputs. Observe All Terminal Ratings. To avoid fire or shock hazard, observe all ratings and markers on the instrument and check your manual for more information about ratings before connecting. Use Proper Overvoltage Protection. Make sure that no overvoltage (such as that caused by a thunderstorm) can reach the product, or else the operator might expose to danger of electrical shock. Do not Assemble/Disassemble the Instrument without Authorization The instrument should be assembled and or disassembled by RIGOL s field engineers, users are not allowed to perform related operations besides some possible replacements in this manual. Do not Move or Maintain the Instrument When Power On To avoid personnel injuries, any position adjustment, maintenance or parts replacement are forbidden when instrument is on. Do Not Operate with Suspected Failures If suspected damage occurs with the instrument, have it inspected by qualified service personnel before further operations. Keep Well Ventilation The instrument must be placed in a well ventilation position (avoid cross-ventilation) without an open flame as solvent used by it are mostly organic having certain volatility and inflammability. 5 RIGOL Do Not Operate In an Explosive Atmosphere In order to avoid damages to the device or personal injuries, the device should be operated away from explosive atmosphere to avoid sharp pounding and electromagnetic interference. Electrostatic Prevention Sparks generated by electrostatic charges in large amount may fire organic solvent in high concentration or even cause fire, please take precautions against static electricity. Operate the Instrument in a Suitable Environment The best condition for optimal measurement is: 5 to 35 ; less than 2 /hour changing, 20% to 80% RH and the instrument should not be placed towards the air outlet. Proper Use of Solvent Please use the solvent in compliance with instructions specified in its supplier. If necessary, wear protective clothing, gloves and glasses to avoid any injuries. Push the top cover horizontally to separate it from the front panel, and then lift the top cover carefully to avoid fracturing the front panel. Install the new main control board according to the above steps in reverse order. 33 Chapter 5 Troubleshooting RIGOL Chapter 5 Troubleshooting The chapter lists some possible malfunctions that may occur during the use and the corresponding solutions for users to analyze and solve the commonly encountered problems. If the problem remains or the problem is not contained in the table below, please contact RIGOL. Here, firmware update refers to software update, namely DSP update. Note: Please first install Framework.Net 2.0 or higher on the PC. Operation steps: 1. Turn off the instrument. 2. Open the Bootloader software (the interface is as shown in Figure 6-1) and select the communication port currently used in the 通信端口 (communications port)" dropdown menu.
