(A), Andhra University, India Abstract. As devices which are connected to internet produces huge amount of data. For storing this data we cannot maintain the databases as it leads to complexity because in IOT we not only store the data but we also perform various analyses on the data and produces the result. For this purpose we need to store the data efficiently. So that we include the concept cloud computing. Keywords: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, challenges, application. 1 Introduction It is architecture for providing convenient, on demand, network access for the shared computing resources (applications, servers and network infrastructures). It acts as the abstraction for computing resources and storage models. By using this model we can continuously allocate and release the resources without any complexity. Another important feature of cloud computing was it provides on - demand service, so that we can access information from any place and any time.[1] 1.1 Components of Cloud Computing There are various components of cloud computing like service, application, storage platform, storage, infrastructure, clients / end-users.[2] Clients /end-users: Thick, Thin, Mobile Services: Products & solutions (Identity, Mapping, Search, etc.) Applications: Web applications, Software-as-a-service, etc. Platform: Applications/Web hosting using PaaS Storage: Database, Data-Storage-as-a-Service (DSaaS) Infrastructure: Virtualization, Infrastructure-as-a-service, EC2 ISSN: ASTL Copyright 2017 SERSC

Components of cloud computing 2 Service Models For efficient working of cloud computing there are three types of service models Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) 2.1 Software as-a- service It is mainly used to execute the service providers application at end user and the applications are available as services and these services are used by the various types of client devices like web browsers and application. And the end user does not have any control on cloud infrastructure [3]. 2.2 Platform-as-a-service It provides platform for the consumers to execute their developed application on the cloud infrastructure and helps in deployment of the application and here also users have control on their applications only, not on the cloud infrastructure.[3] 2.3 Infrastructure-as-a service It mainly used for the accessing the various resources used for computing and the resources such as networks, operating systems and networks. In this service user can control some selected resources such as firewall s etc. And they can deploy, execute and control any kind of service.[3] Copyright 2017 SERSC 61

3 3 Deployment Models There various types of deployment models in cloud computing for purpose of storing the data. They are like public clouds, private clouds and hybrid clouds. And we also have other types of models such as community clouds, distributed clouds, inter clouds and multi clouds.[4] Fig. 2. 4 4 Case Studies As usage of cloud computing increasing day by day, the simulators and technologies are needed to be studied before their usage. Cloud simulators allows the customers to know about the following information, they are a) Service evaluation b) Testing at no cost c) Enable repeatable evaluation d) Control the environment e) Pre-detection of issues affecting the environment f) Design of counter measures 4.1 Various Cloud Simulators CloudSim CloudAnalyst GreenCloud icancloud GroundSim DCSim 5 CloudSim The framework consist of data Centre, Virtual Machine, application, users, network topology. And in simulation we can dynamically add/remove the resources and we can develop the simulators using Java-based environment.[7] 5.1 Advantages of CloudSim Time Effectiveness: we can implement our apps with minimum effort in minimum time. Flexibility and applicability: it helps in designing of application services in any environment and we implement in different cloud environments. 5.2 Features of CloudSim[7] Different data centers Various network topologies Allocation of virtual machines Additional / removal of simulation components Stop and resume of simulation Implementation of Virtualization Copyright 2017 SERSC 63

5 5.3 CloudSim Architecture [7] The CloudSim Architecture consists of three layers User Code CloudSim Core Simulation Engine User code: It was the top most layers in the architecture which consists of different machine and application specifications. CloudSim: It was the middle layer in the architecture, provides cloud environment and helps in modeling and simulation Core Simulation Engine: It was the Bottom most layer in the architecture. In this paper we have discussed the how cloud computing evolved in IOT and what are the advantages of cloud computing and it application and challenges. We also across the case study CloudSim and its architecture. References 1.
