3 1. General 1.1 Overall Introduction The system shall record, display and playback multiple IP cameras. The 2bay model shall support up to 4 channels, while the 4bay model shall support up to 16 channels. The base license defers by models The system shall have remote access ability through web browser (IE 8, 9, 10) and Windows-based client application The system shall be Linux platform. The OS shall be embedded in device without extra installation The 2bay model shall be able to carry 2 hard disks to achieve up to 8 TB recording storage, and the 4bay model shall be able to carry 4 hard disks to achieve up to 16 TB recording storage and could be expanded by external storage (i.e. DAS) The system shall be able to record the original resolution and frame rate supplied by cameras especially megapixel cameras The system shall be able to power-on automatically and keep recording after incident power outage The system shall be able to support point of sale (POS) and automatic teller machine (ATM) and time-linked video recording with transaction data, if needed The system shall be able to support for central management system (CMS), if needed. The CMS shall allow for the continuous monitoring of the operational status and event-triggered alarms from system servers, cameras, POS and other external devices The system shall support exporting/loading configuration of the unit The system shall support reset password of administrator or restore factory default configuration by pressing reset button The system shall support adjusting system time with NTP server weekly or monthly System function 2.1 System installation The system shall provide user installation tool to initialize the device efficiently, including configure network, IP cameras and hard disks The installation tool shall allow user to obtain network settings automatically from external DHCP server or configure network settings manually The installation tool shall provide user two modes to configure hard disks: data protection mode set RAID level to RAID 1 or RAID 5 and maximum capacity mode set the RAID level to RAID IP camera management The system shall support IP cameras and video encoders from the following manufacturers and 3 / NUUO Inc. The dual stream solves the limited bandwidth issue in mobile and remote connection The system shall support a secondary stream report in order to operate dual record The system shall support ONVIF cameras. 2.3 Panoramic lens / fisheye camera support The system shall support panoramic lens and fisheye camera The system shall allow user to enable or disable dewarp The system shall support three types of dewarp protocol, the panoramic modes supported by the first protocol includes Original mode, Rectilinear mode, Quad mode and Dual-view panorama mode; modes supported by the second protocol includes Original mode, PTZ mode, Quad mode and Perimeter mode, while the modes supported by the last protocol includes Original mode, Rectilinear mode, Full-view panorama mode, Dual-view panorama mode The system shall support several types of camera position of panoramic lens, including wall, ceiling and ground. 2.4 Live video display The system shall support viewing live video of IP cameras from Microsoft Internet Explorer or remote live view application The remote live view application shall support dual monitor The remote live view application shall support managing all cameras from different servers by classifying cameras to different groups The system shall provide optional layouts to display the videos 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 8x8, 1+5, 2+8, 1+12, 1+12(central fixed), 1+16(central fixed), full screen and auto scan mode The system shall support displaying images from several cameras, one after the other, in a single view position. The system shall allow user to define time interval of carousel The system shall allow user to adjust the OSD setting, including font, size, color, bold and edge of foreground and the color and transparency of background The system shall support showing information like camera name, date, time and bit rate information on video The remote live view application shall allow user to modify the display sequence of cameras on primary or secondary monitor separately on dual monitors The system shall provide digital zoom in and zoom out function by scrolling the mouse wheel up and down or using the PTZ control panel The system shall allow user to duplicate one camera to multiple views. Activated only during a specified period The system shall support monitoring the following system resources a. Abnormal disk status when there is no enough disk space for recording or when disk is abnormal for accessing, the system shall send to trigger digital output. b. Daily system report enable user to monitor the system information, hard disk usage and status everyday through without accessing to unit, the system shall send to notify user. c. Unable to access FTP server when the connection between the unit and FTP backup server is lost. d. Backup unfinished if the backup process of recorded files are not complete, the file name shall be listed and send to notify user. e. Power-on notification notify user by when the unit is turned on after power loss. f. System overheating notify user by when the unit if turned off automatically due to Notifications system overheating. 9 2.11 Network management The system shall support 100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps of Ethernet link speed The 4bay model shall support dual LANs, for the scenario of deploying cameras within subnet A, while providing remote access through subnet B to ensure the recording performance The system shall support obtaining an IP address automatically The system shall allow user to configure network settings manually, including IP address, subnet mask, default gateway IP address, primary DNS and secondary DNS The system shall support LAN and WAN network. For WAN network, the system shall support DDNS for user who has dynamic IP address only. Next/ previous sequence (the interval user-defined). b. Step forward/ backward frame by frame. c. Remote: the speed from 1/16 up to 16 times recorded video. d. Local: the speed of fast forward/fast rewind ranging from 2 to 16 times recorded video. e. Skip video gaps during playback. f. Search by time/ date The playback system shall support exporting recorded video to AVI and ASF file The playback system shall support exporting BMP and JPEG image in the region of interest. There shall be options for exporting audio, OSD and POS transaction as well The playback system shall support evidence creation by printing snapshot image. User shall be able to print image with original size or fit to page. 12 2.22 SDK (2.5 version) The system shall include a software development kit (SDK) that shall offer important capabilities for integrating the system by third-party software. The SDK should provide a programming component which can be embedded in third-party Windows applications or Internet Explorer web applications. The SDK shall enable users to: Retrieve live video and recorded video Retrieve and set I/O status Take snapshots of live view and recorded video Perform PTZ controls in live view Change screen layouts and resolutions in live view of the programming component Export video from recorded data and save in AVI or ASF format Play, pause, stop, step backward, step forward, seek, speed up, speed down recorded video Mobile phone support The system shall allow users to view video on iphone, ipad, Android with mobile client E-map support The system shall support multiple E-maps layers The system shall support various image formats for E-map- BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF The system shall allow user to drag the indicators representing the devices (including analog cameras, IP cameras, I/O devices and POS) on to the map, arrange the location of the indicators on map, and rotate the direction of the indicators The system shall support showing preview video and device information such as device name, IP address, I/O status when highlighting the devices on map The indicators that representing the devices shall turn red when motion or digital input event is detected by camera. 12 / NUUO Inc.
