Messaging silos lock us in Proprietary services operated by a single company, several sometimes by one company, i.e. WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram Users are locked in Cannot choose their preferred provider Cannot choose their preferred app Cannot move their messages Cannot cross-post to another service Commercial acccess controlled What s good about Mobile Messaging? Mobile messaging solutions provide ease of use No spam & easy to block unwanted communication centrally Mobile-centric, for example easy to send voice recordings, pictures, videos State of Due to mobile messaging success, is not the cool kid anymore is hardly used for private communications anymore Growing concerns about privacy, but network effect keeps people locked in Attention moved away from , creating problems for our OX customer base 3
