Part A is 15 minutes. Part B is one hour and 45 minutes. You need access to four data files during this assessment. Your supervisor will tell you where they are stored. One of the data files is called an evidence document. When asked, paste screen prints of your work into this document. Read each instruction carefully. You must store and organise your work so that it can be found again easily. Printing may be carried out after the time allocated for this assessment. Your name must appear on every printout. It may be handwritten or in a footer. If your printout does not have your name on it, it will not be marked. Insert your printouts into this booklet in the correct order and hand it to your supervisor when you have completed both parts A and B of this assessment. 2 Scenario: Mr Minac is the manager of a funfair on the sea front. He needs help to prepare a poster to advertise the funfair. He also needs you to update some information about the running costs. Part A Time allowed: 15 minutes There are two tasks in Part A of this assessment and a total of eight marks available. For Part A you need access to the data file Evidence document.

3 Mr Minac is thinking of changing the opening times of the funfair. He wants to see what other funfairs do. He needs you to use the internet to find out the opening times for Flamingo Land. Paste a screen print showing the search you used and the results into your evidence document. Copy and paste the information about opening times into your evidence document. Also paste the information into a new document, and save it so you can find it later. a) Screen print/s of the search you carried out, and the results, pasted into your evidence document. b) A copy of the information you found pasted into your evidence document. 4 marks 2. Prepare an to Mr Minac (organiser@cityattractions.org.uk) saying that you have found the opening times. Attach the document you saved that contains this information. Tell Mr Minac which website you found the information on so that he can use it in the future. Paste a screen print of your finished into your evidence document. (You just have to prepare the . 4 Part B Time allowed: 1 hour 45 minutes There are five tasks in Part B of this assessment and a total of 32 marks available. For Part B you need access to the data files Evidence document, Data, Logo and Image.

5 Mr Minac has given you a file which shows the funfair s income and running costs. The file needs to be updated to show whether each ride has made a profit or a loss. Profit/loss is income less running costs Make sure your work is formatted appropriately and is clear and easy to read. Mr Minac wants a chart that shows the profit/loss of the funfair rides in descending order. Place the chart below the data. Print out the spreadsheet with the chart. 6 Mr Minac needs you to prepare a poster to advertise the funfair. He has drawn a rough version of what he wants, shown below. Create a new version using appropriate software. Make sure that there are no errors in the poster. When you have finished, print it out. A printout of your poster. 14 marks 5.
