5 Introduction Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 is a server update release that can be installed only over Horizon Manager v1.4 standalone configuration. The NHM v1.4 SP1 release does not require any changes to installed Horizon Manager v1.4 client. See the Constraints section of the About menu to determine if Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 has been successfully installed. Online help and PDF guides are not updated for this release and are current as of Horizon Manager v1.4 release. See Configuration Management on page 8 for the configuration management support for Nokia IPSO v Nokia IPSO v4.0 Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 provides installation and upgrade support for Nokia IPSO v4.0. Limited downgrade support from Nokia IPSO v4.0 to previous operating systems is also available. 7 What s New in Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 Upgrading from Nokia IPSO v3.9 to Nokia IPSO v4.0 Changing active Operating system images Installing, enabling, disabling, deleting and configuring Check Point NG AI R55p and Check Point NGX R60 Upgrading to Check Point NG AI R55p and Check Point NGX R60 from previous Check Point versions Configuration management support. See, Configuration Management on page 8 for information about configuration management support for the flash-based devices. Note Model name for Nokia IP1220 and IP1260 disk-based and flash-based devices are displayed as IP1220 and IP1260. You can distinguish between the disk-based and flash-based devices by referring to hardware inventory column where memory capacity for flash-based devices should be minimum 1GB. Nokia Wireless Accelerator v2.2 and Nokia Wireless Accelerator v2.2.1 Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 provides support for installing, upgrading, deleting, enabling, and disabling of Nokia Wireless Accelarator v2.2 and Nokia Wireless Accelerator v Support for Check Point Hot Fix Accumulators (HFAs) Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 provides support for all the Check Point Hot Fix Accumulators (HFA) listed in techsupport/hfa.html as on the release date for Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1. To install Check Point NGX R60 Hot Fix Accumulator fw1_r60_hfa_01.ipso.tgz, use the script R60_hfa_install.sh. This script is Nokia Horizon Manager Release Notes v1.4 SP1 7

8 located in \<Installed directory>\nhm14\server\plugins\scripts in Windows and Solaris. The command to install FW1_R60_HFA_01.tgz using Apply Patch action dialog or Device Configuration/Configure and Deploy action dialog method is: zcat /var/admin/<filename> tar xvf - ; echo y > temp;./fw1_hotfix_r60_01_ _1 < temp; rm rf temp Configuration Management The configuration management in Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 includes: Extracting operating system and package configuration from a configured disk-based or flash-based device Displaying the extracted configuration in the GUI Installing and configuring packages Editing extracted configuration from the GUI Deploying extracted operating system and package configuration on to the devices. 9 Installing Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 on Solaris Installing Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 on Solaris Note Quit Horizon Manager Server Status and Client applications before installing Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1. The installation type can be Standalone only. To install Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1, you must have root privileges. Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 can only be installed over Horizon Manager v1.4. Nokia recommends that on Solaris systems the total swap space be at least three times the amount of physical memory on the system. The following files are available for download in the Nokia Support Web site at NHM14_SP1_Solaris_Build05.tar.Z NHM14_SP1_Solaris_Build05.tar To install Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 on Solaris: 1. As root user, create a temporary directory outside the Horizon Manager directory and extract the NHM14_Install script file by using one of the following commands as appropriate: a. If you downloaded NHM14_SP1_Solaris_Build05.tar.Z zcat NHM14_SP1_Build05.tar.Z tar xvf - b. If you downloaded NHM14_SP1_Solaris_Build05.tar tar -xvf NHM14_SP1_Solaris_Build05.tar 2. 10 Uninstalling Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 on Solaris Note Quit Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 Server Status and Client applications, before uninstalling Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1. To uninstall Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 from Solaris: 1. As root user, run the NHM14_SP1_Uninstall script from the installed directory. 2. The script successfully uninstalls Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 from Solaris Installing Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 on Windows Note Quit Horizon Manager Server Status and Client applications, before installing Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1. The installation type can be Standalone only. To install Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 on Windows: 1. Download the following file from the Nokia Support Web site: NHM14_SP1_Windows_Build05.zip 2. Using Winzip, extract the NHM14_SP1_WinInstaller.exe file to a folder you specify 3. 11 Uninstalling Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 from Windows 4. Follow the instructions on the wizard to complete the installation. Uninstalling Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 from Windows Note Quit Horizon Manager Server Status and Client applications, before uninstalling Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1. To uninstall Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 from Windows: 1. From the Start menu, choose Start > Settings > Control Panel. 2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. 3. Scroll down the list of programs and select Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 Service Pack Click Change/Remove and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Known Issues Nokia Horizon Manager v1.4 SP1 includes the following known issues. Migrating data from Nokia Horizon Manager v1.3.x to Horizon Manager v1.4 and installing Horizon Manager v1.4. 12 When installing Nokia IPSO versions that are not supported on flashbased devices (Nokia IP1220 and Nokia IP1260) When installing Nokia Wireless Accelerator versions that are not supported on flash-based devices.
