5 No more shadows Get closer to the screen Easier installation The Sony S Series projectors are able to deliver incredibly sharp, super-size images across unbelievably small distances. This is especially good news in a teaching environment because, the shorter the distance, the less the chance of a shadow being cast across the screen. It also means the teacher can stand closer to the screen without being caught in the glare. And that s great news when you need to draw your students attention to different areas of a presentation for clarification or emphasis. 7 Three levels of brightness Typically, projectors give you a choice of two brightness levels: high and standard. Sony projectors for schools and universities have three levels: bright (for presentations in ambient sunlight), standard (for everyday projection) and low, for movie mode (when lights are out and the curtains drawn). In low mode the lamp will last for up to 6,000 hours, which is 20% longer than standard mode and equivalent to more than seven years of typical school use. Simplified remote control The remote control units for Sony projectors give you three options: on, off and brightness. That s all you need to get the presentation rolling and on with your teaching. Beautifully bright, flicker-free images To further heighten pupil engagement, we have developed Sony BrightEra 3LCD technology which delivers higher picture quality, substantially brighter images, improved contrast, consistent colour stability and increased durability. Peace of mind support Many of the S and E Series projectors are covered by a specially enhanced Sony PrimeSupport package for education, which offers unique services and benefits over the standard warranty.

This is because we offer a choice of lenses with shift ratios up to +/-113% vertically and +/-63% horizontally from a static axis. So you can mount the projector where you want it, then position the image where it is required with no compromise on clarity or brightness.

9 Dust free means trouble free Fail-safe operation Easy to manage over the network Projectors are usually mounted where the dusters don t reach. Sony uses a unique quad filter system with a one-way air flow, so the optics and lamp are guaranteed to remain dust free. The filter system is provided with the lamp (only the VPL-FX500L and VPLFH500L models) which means when a new lamp goes in, so does a new filter. Downtime is not an option in a university environment. Therefore we ve equipped some of our models with a second back-up lamp which will automatically function should the first lamp fail. Our projectors can be managed over your network thanks to their built-in browser function. You can view and control individual projectors remotely (all models with RJ45 connector), to identify whether a lamp needs changing for example. Or we can provide you with remote management software that enables you to monitor and control all of your installed Sony projectors from a PC. Then you can save yourself time by doing several tasks at once, such as switching off a group of projectors in a remote location. Sony F and C Series Projectors

Our public display products are extremely rugged with a slimmer bezel and heavier design, making them ideal for permanent installations in large communal areas. Standard warranty for BRAVIA Professional displays Our professional displays for education are sold with a standard three year warranty. This covers you for any faults that are due to defects in the materials or workmanship for a full three years from the date of purchase. If a fault is discovered, Sony will undertake any repairs.
