2 Overview Service Pack 3: SP3 wraps up over 100 patches and enhancements to work together in harmony on all platforms. Delivery Mechanisms: New DVD media for new installations Or Patches available for each platform Early Adopter Program starting June 2012.

6 Web Interface Active Directory Support How can I get web users to only see a subset of servers for which they have rights to see? Administrators define user viewing rights via Active Directory (outside of Prognosis). Users only see the servers they are supposed to see.

19 Distributed Systems Enhancements IBM VIO Server Certification and Support Prognosis is certified to run on IBM Virtual IO Servers Syslog-ng configuration support in MPEVENT collector Prognosis now supports syslog-ng on Linux and Solaris. Syslog-ng is an enhanced event logging infrastructure. Support for performance capacity metrics for EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) Solaris disks. Support for large (>4GB) Unix file systems Improved efficient of stopprog on large systems. Added differentiation between threads and processes in the Unix Process record ( Real PID ) Prognosis Web Session Recorder need for annual license refresh removed.

23 Extensibility: PACE PACE (New in SP3 Windows / Linux) Allows business information to be captured, manipulated, joined and presented as new Prognosis records that then behave in the same way as all Prognosis information. Training available. Full Briefing available. Sample PACE sources

24 PACE Studio: Graphical Designer PACE Studio is a designtime authoring tool that helps you create new information building blocks for us in Prognosis. It consists of an XML authoring environment together with visualization tools and numerous content generation wizards.

25 Extensibility: PACE Extractors: View Based Commands. Users who extract the information available in command output have had problems with data timing accuracy and creating deltas across intervals. Cause: Where you have multiple requests (from displays, databases, thresholds etc.) interval timing can be inaccurate. Solution: Use ONEEXTRACTORPERVIEW to create multiple command instances (one for each requestor that remains active), allowing intervals to maintain independence.
